Why Early Access?

“We are choosing to release FrigidVR as an Early Access game because we are still working on core features, but feel the game is in a fun and playable state to be enjoyed. As a player first, I completely understand why the Early Access tag can be annoying. Too many developers use this as an excuse to release a game they will never finish.

However, we still support our first game 4 years later.

Early access gives us the chance to develop FRIGID VR based on your feedback. We want to take advantage of the Early Access feature to test hardware compatibility and performance. It will allow us to progressively add content to the base game to guarantee the best level of quality and optimization of the final product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to release from Early Access around the end of 2022. This should gives us enough time to complete the final chapters and any additional planned content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have 5 Single Player Campaign Maps, Infected Stage 1 to 3 Animals, a good deal of loot and craft-able items, multiple areas to explore, in depth gun and tool customization, leveling and perk systems, realistic gun play and physics, and finally a complete story-led campaign.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The community will have a strong role in the direction and development of FrigidVR. I plan to utilize all avenues to communicate with the survivors of FrigidVR to improve the game overall, discover and add new features, and change the game for the better of everyone who is gracious enough to spend their time playing FrigidVR.

About This Game

FRIGID IS A SURVIVAL EXPLORATION EXPERIENCE
Inspired by the Thing movies. Set in the Canadian arctic region where a cataclysmic event puts you in a desperate fight to survive nature. Climate researchers studying the contamination of arctic glaciers have found something disturbing in the area. Your job is to unravel the mystery of an infection spreading among the local wildlife and survive the ordeal.
