What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Shattered Heaven is still under development, but we are eager to share our work and to let our community experience the game with us! We want to make our players part of the planned evolution of our game and our deepest desire is to expand it with the help and the feedback of the community.
Our main objective was and still is to create an experience that has entertainment at its core, but we do not want to forget that games are meant for letting players have fun. We want to create and maintain a vivid connection between our design ideas and the experience that we want the players to live when they enter the world of Shattered Heaven. We’ve decided to launch in Early Access in order to maintain our close relationship with the community as we continue implementing more and more features while tinkering with the mechanics (and bugs) that our players find the most important to work on.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“In our plan, the release of version 1.0 is expected to be available after one year. We want to include our community and mold the game starting from the feedback of our players' base. As of right now, we project to keep working on Shattered Heaven in Early Access for a year to a year and a half. However, since we want to give as much power to our community as we can to interact with the cards and everything else that is part of Shattered Heaven's world, our schedule might change.
We’d like to remain flexible and we’ll transition into a full release only once we feel the game is truly ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Shattered Heaven is constantly evolving and we do not want to stop its growth. We want that our community can have the chance to create new cards, new recipes and suggest what they expect for the future of our game. Our team thinks that with this direct interaction we can add content that is made from the players and our designers will filter and interpret what our community desires.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have a solid version to be released with a lot of features already implemented in the early access version. We give you a brief overview of what you are gonna find in the game:
  • 3 heroes

  • 120 skills and talents

  • 100 unique events

  • more than 110 cards to build the deck of each character

  • 4 multilayered dungeons

  • more than 80 enemies

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are planning to slightly change the price of Shattered Heaven from the Early Access version to the final 1.0 version. If this decision is going to be altered during the development period, we will communicate in advance every price adjustment to our community.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“It’s very important for us to stay as close as possible with our community and we’ve already made players a fundamental part of the creation and the growth of the world around Shattered Heaven's development. We are planning to obtain feedback from some Closed Beta events to literally welcome a part of our community inside the obscure dungeons of our game. We want them to experience the thrill of the fight against formidable foes and the challenge of building and designing a world in cooperation with them.
We’ve built a wholesome Discord community where our members can share their ideas, report bugs, and simply be a part of our world. If you’d like to become a part of the community, feel free to join us at:
https://discord.gg/BN69nWzRqW

We try to post announcements every few weeks detailing the current state of the development. All past announcements can be found on our Community Hub.”

About This Game

Shattered Heaven combines card games and roguelikes to make a single-player deck builder with RPG elements, dungeon crawling, and a multi-branch narrative structure.

Shattered Heaven focuses on a card game/roguelike gameplay fueled by a great replay value, thanks to procedural dungeons, a deep crafting system, and a gripping narrative influenced by players’ choices.

The game features a unique 2d cartoon style, with dark fantasy and Lovecraftian flavor, and an epic soundtrack with opera singers.

  • Dynamic Deckbuilding – Build your starting decks (three of them, one for each of your heroes) as you wish and customize them by drafting new ones during each run, for an ever different experience.

  • Tactical RPG Fights – Slay epic monsters in procedurally generated dungeons and loot valuable treasures! Improve your equipment and enhance your strategy thanks to a deep Skill tree system.

  • Story branching – A game with an ambitious branching narrative, where your decisions not only determine the fate of the main characters but that of the entire world.

  • Unique mechanics – Each character features completely different mechanics and ways to fight, which can be further customized through trinkets and the skill tree.

  • Innovative Crafting system – Use treasures and recipes you find inside the dungeons to create and upgrade potions, weapons, and amulets.

  • Pick your poison – Choose a difficulty and a special effect that changes every time at the start of each dungeon and earn black bones used to improve characters at the dark forge.

A betrayal, a dying God
An ancient curse, a divine punishment.
A forsaken world suspended in time and buried in ashes.

In a nameless world, only a few survived the fall of God. Living in a hostile environment and feeding on what their barren land had to offer, four factions are bound to fight each other for survival. Victims of a terrible curse, these populations are condemned to sleepless nights, infertility, and doomed to die at the age of 40.

The only way to break the curse is to offer a Vestal, and a team of valiant warriors, as a sacrifice for a ritual lost in time: a bloody and harsh battle known as the War of Ascension.

Which faction will be able to win and secure the survival of their species? You decide!
