Why Early Access?

“Dark Table CCG is in Alpha and does not have all of the features wanted by full release. Early Access is a great way to get players in now, get their feedback for balance changes and features, and help raise funds for continued development and growth of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Planned to be in Early Access around 6 months while we add content, swap to dedicated servers, and build a better user experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main difference will be dedicated servers, right now the game is Peer to Peer with one player hosting. That is not ideal, and one of the topics we are focusing on next.

We also want to add additional upgrades to UI/UX, VFX, and SFX by full release.”

“Fully Playable with Online 4 Player, In-Game Purchases, Loadouts, Some Stats and Achievements, Season Pass Functionality, and Full Deckbuilder.”

“No, Dark Table CCG will always be Free-to-Play once in Open Alpha.”

Enter a dark Lovecraftian world where four supreme beings called Keymasters play a sinister card game over the control of worlds. The 4-player gameplay and fresh unique mechanics ensure there is no real meta, so you can enjoy endless deck combinations. It's the social experience that card gamers have desperately wanted, but AAA publishers have failed to provide.

FEATURES

Online 4-Player

Inspired by the social/political fun of commander/EDH, Dark Table is purpose-built for 4-player gameplay. We’ve introduced a new level of fun and chaos, creating unique strategies that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end of each game. The game's multiplayer nature auto-balances itself, making it difficult to create a single "meta deck" that can consistently beat a group of three other players, but that hasn’t stopped brewers from trying!

Leaders

Solid deck-building and theory-crafting are key to any good card game, and Dark Table offers layers of strategy. You start your deck with one of the many leaders, each with unique abilities and health totals. Leaders come in three types, each with a different path to victory:

Knowledge: Bank unspent knowledge each turn to enrage your leader.
Bloodshed: Get kills in battle to enrage your leader.
Berserk: Take damage to reach a health threshold and enrage your leader.

Enraging your leader grants access to powerful end-game abilities that can quickly turn the tide and end the game.

Customization

In real-life card games, players often enjoy customizing their decks to express themselves. This typically involves purchasing themed card sleeves, distinctive dice, and stylish playmats. While other digital CCGs have failed in this area, Dark Table CCG intends to deliver. Customize almost everything to show off your style. Earn new avatars, titles, card backs, card borders, and 3D playmats through achievements and progression.

Accessibility & Depth

The game is designed to be simple to learn, but offers a high skill cap for players who want to dig deeper. This balance ensures that players of all types can get involved and have fun along the entirety of their journey.
