«I am developing Path of Thalanos by myself. Developing a game alone will give you at some point tunnel vision and I will need feedback from the community, so I can balance the game and add more gameplay content. I am a passionate gamer myself and I always appreciate the developers who listen to the community, that is what I plan to do. Because of this I will be able to speed up the development. This is a passion project, so I will finish it no matter whether it will be a financial success or not.

«The game will be in early access for roughly 1 year. If everything goes well, this time may decrease.»

Чим повна версія гри буде відрізнятися від версії для дочасного доступу?

«The full version will have a better balance.
Also there should be enough content to guarantee replayability.
The overall polish will be a lot better.

The full version will have at least:
20 enemies
20 abilities
10 traps
15 shrines
50 item properties
50 skills
15 spells
10 potions
5 ongoing effects»

Який поточний стан версії для дочасного доступу?

«These are the current features:

Random generated levels and encounters, which means each run is unique.
5 enemies with unique and random abilities.
6 abilities.
3 traps.
1 shopkeeper.
5 shrines.
Shrines are event encounters, where the player can choose an outcome.
Items with random properties.
15 properties are currently possible.
Random generated skill tree.
15 skills are currently ingame.
The player can find spell scrolls, which he can use to cast spells.
3 spells are currently ingame.
2 potion items.
The player can create/receive negative/positive ongoing effects.
2 effects are currently ingame

After the game ends a detailed run statistic is created.
All runs are saved. There is a run history, where the player can see what he achieved.»

«I plan to listen to everyone of you. If there will be too much feedback I will find ways through polls.

There will be at least a discord server & twitter where you can contact me to discuss about game elements. I will add an ingame form where you can anonymously send me feedback and suggestions.»

Про цю гру

Path of Thalanos is a roguelike dungeon crawler with a rich random item and skill system. Encounter many random generated events, shrines, traps and enemies. Build your hero and find out how deep you can go into the dungeon. Each run is unique.

Gameplay


Turn-Based combat. Discover enemies, traps, shops, random encounters and events.
Each floor is randomly generated based on your progress. How far can you climb?


Items


Many different item modifiers with random rolls allow different play styles. Customize your character.
Consumable & equippable items.


Enemies


Enemies have a base ability and different tiers, which means stronger enemies spawn on higher floors. In addition enemies scale with floor level
and they get random abilities as the game progresses. Abilities can trigger on discover, on death or every round. Enemies are also able to cast spells.

Skills


A randomly generated skill tree helps you to choose a direction for your playstyle. Everytime you spend 9 skillpoints a new tree is generated.
