Why Early Access?

“ORX is a complex game with a lot of intertwined gameplay systems. We couldn’t figure everything out perfectly from start to finish without constant feedback from you, our players - after all, we are making the game for you, not for ourselves. So Early Access appears to be a great solution for us as well as for you: you will get to play a fully functional and polished version of ORX a lot earlier, and we will be able to work on additional factions, cards, game modes and more with your feedback and suggestions in mind.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are going for a full release in about a year from now. According to our estimations, it will be enough to add everything we’ve planned to the game and to make it as fun and robust as we originally envisioned. But the work hopefully won’t stop even after the full release: we have a ton of ideas even now and probably won’t stop coming with new ones for a long time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include 4 factions instead of the current 2, a meta-progression system (stay tuned to learn more about that), and a lot of additional content in general. We hope that the full release version will be the ORX that we dreamed of when we started this project. And it’s needless to say that our plan might change significantly depending on your feedback and suggestions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game includes two fully-fledged factions with their own campaigns and a rogue-lite system of meta-progression. So, all of the core systems and mechanics needed for a great player experience are already there: from now on we are planning to focus on expanding the game further and adding variety to it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Our current plan is to raise the price once, as the game leaves Early Access. Should the plan change, we’ll make sure to inform our current and potential community members in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our plan is to involve the Community almost every step of the way - we dedicate a big portion of our time to analyzing the player’s feedback and discussing the development process with them. If you would like to take part in shaping ORX, please consider joining our Discord server - there we are constantly discussing the development and our game design choices. You are always welcome!”

Warriors of the World United

ORX features 3 factions with unique gameplay. And we mean it! Each one interacts with the game in different ways, providing a completely different approach while preserving the core experience.

Rune Guardians are the poster boys of ORX, focused around building impenetrable walls of castles.
Dune Reavers is the richest faction in the game, opting for a more classic RTS gameplay with unit management.
Boreal Nomads is the stone-willed nation of humans and giants, with a gameplay reminiscent of strategy sims, like that of Majesty series.

Bound for Glory

Your deck of cards is your key to victory, and you can customize it to suit your playstyle. Focus on magic, fortifications, troops, or economy; upgrade your cards, use powerful spells and artifacts. Find every opportunity to one-up the ORX. And if you manage to invent an especially effective strategy, don’t be surprised when you see your name in the Leaderboard!

Unholy Warcry

ORX are the namesake of the game and your blood rivals. Varied in strength, toughness and ingenuity – they all pose an existential threat to your nation. Master the Rock-Paper-Scissors style archetypes of both your defences and the ORX. Find their weak points. Play your cards right. And maybe you will stand a chance against the green scourge.

Through the Storm

Cleanse the land of Medea from ORX: from temperate forests to ruin-filled deserts, from icy wastelands to void-ridden planes. Reconquer each continent node-by-node, risking to be overwhelmed with corruption-boosted ORX. Or take a wager, bee lining straight to the boss. No matter the choice – every campaign, event and mission will play differently each time.

Balancing between grimdark and light-hearted fantasy of vintage book illustrations, it allows ORX to mix the right amount of brutality and comedy. All the while the epicness of each battle is amplified with the original soundtrack by Nicolas de Ferran (They Are Billions).
