Unfortunately, most of the SCP RP servers are pretty crap and full of squeaker security yelling at squeaker Class D's to get back in their cells, and obviously none of them listen because nobody wants to be in a cell for hours.
Nobody's genuinely made a proper SeriousRP SCP RP server, which kinda sucks...
Actually, the SCP series is more of an online selection of documents and data entries than anything; If you look on the SCP Wiki, there's well over a thousand entries for various SCPs.
Someone just saw the potential for a game to be made out of this growing and expanding universe, so they made SCP: Containment Breach.
The Garry's Mod community's obsession with the SCP series likely stemmed from the concept of Role-Playing servers. Just from browsing the 'SCP' tag on the workshop, I get the impression that there's a good number of RP servers dedicated to the SCP series, most likely based off the Containment Breach game.
