I greatly appreciate this mod. The Kleptomaniac quirk is so detrimental to the early game. I don't think this mod is a cheat whatsoever. The start of the game is harder than the mid-game, in my opinion, because your accuracy is so low you're missing constantly making killing the stress casters a real problem. So, that initial gold to upgrade abilities to increase hit rating is vital. I'm going to start any game with this mod. Thank you.

Currently in the process of fixing this mod, along with my other two. ETA is when it's done and play tested to catch any issues. Two years late, but that's life.

im working on an achivement which is to make Dismas and Reynauld survive to the end of the game.
Its my first time playin this game and i have made 0 progress, had to delete 5 games all which were deeply into the campaign, and wasted around 50 hours over the course of a month trying to get this achievment on the easiest difficulty, i know the mechanics of the game, and most times it doesnt feel like the game is too incredibly gamble/RNG heavy, but each and every time ive lost Dismas or Reynauld it was too someshitty terrible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG chain of events over the course of two turns, and a bunch of failed retreats from battle ( IN A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ROW) im hoping finally after downlloading some mods this game will actually be fair, i will choose a "cheating" type beggining over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slog of RNG and random events because a game that rewards skill and correct actions is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funner than the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ive been putting up with.

I think it PARTIALLY works; My Crusader didn't have Kleptomania, but it did have negative quirks in the beginning --- err.... I think.

Heya, I wanna do a new playthrogh and get dismas and reynault to the end in order to get the achievment. Theres no way this will somehow stop the achievment from happening because it doesnt recognise the 2 heroes right?

That was indeed the only change, I don't understand why Redhook released the exact same file but all they did was change just the version number. Currently workshop uploading is being buggy, the mod will be updated ASAP.

I think i found the problem is persist.raid.json and I belive the "version" is old I check non modded game file and set the "version" as 40993 and seems to work. (I'm gonna do more test with various mods and report back)

yup can confirm this problem, tested with other mods and also tested it with only this mod activated. it skips the tutorial and renames the save file.

The other workshop file that only add a key too has that problem now, its prob have to do with the key if that helps you.

Can conferm. Strong start is skiping The Old Road mission and also messes with and save file (renaming the file to 'Darkest' and removing the mods and DLC). Hes the images from testing. http://imgur.com/a/h9XrC

That is immensely unlikely. Do you have any other mods installed? Because this mod has never interacted with campaign flow files which start the tutorial.

@Wyndrarch: Well, I also really appreciate the negative quirks as they give these randomized characters a depth that few other videogame entities posess - but kleptomaniac has to be one of the worst perks out there.

You'll know what I mean when you walk past that heirloom chest, the guy opens it and nicks 1.200 gold and eight seals. Great job.

Atleast that bastard went past another trapped cabinet and dealt himself a deathblow in the same dungeon.

Wait, people dislike klepto? Honestly I love the behavioural negative quirks, and will take them any day over a stat or stress penalty.

I straight up refuse to use any hero that's a klepto, makes me hate the early game to an unfathomable degree.

The 3 positive... Basically means nothing though. You could easily go from amazing OP hero to useless fodder in as quick as the tutorial + first run. So it don't think it's easy or unfair at all.

All in all, great mod. :D

@solipiwko252 Thank you for the feedback, however I'd say it really won't make much of a dent in the long run. You could for example end the tutorial with a negative quirk on both characters without any input besides RNG.

This mod was made for players that want that clean start feel before the game presses their face into the ground.

really good mod I recomend it to new players
but if you are looking for adventure i think its ok but sometimes it can make game too easy
so free to use it if you want
