Not entirely surpising, as of 2022 aug 09, this mod does not work in stellaris 3.4.5.

I was thinking of making more traditions based on tree levels back then, but then found out that large variety of options (no matter if it traditions, techs or ships) make AI to become way more dumb and not interesting to play with in the long run - the problem is in Clausewitz engine weight system - it just was not made to use so much options and large variety of them make AI decision way more random (and you can't even change the weight of decisions based on AI personality - at least it was not possible back then), and layers upon layers of random decisions make AI fall too far behind players around year 2300 - cause of those "random" mistakes. Even with custom set 400% tech and unity points bonuses, even though AI is overwhelming in early game, it still quickly fall behind later.

What is involved in coding something like this?
I have minimal coding experience (mostly cutting and replacing) for Stellaris, but maybe another set of eyes or labor could help

Well that's good to hear! This was always my go-to tradition mod, as all the other ones add far too many, especially now that there's uses for unity after you've unlocked all traditions.

Hey! It is not completely dead yet... however I can't provide ETA for update. Most of the old crew has either dropped out or went back to 2.1.3 version of the game. We will probably provide the refined version for Stellaris 2.1.3 as separate release at some point (with Aggression tradition tree being replaced), but In'ei is still cooking something for 2.2!

Hello! Just wondering if I should consider this mod dead or not. I assume those issues you where having IRL proved to be more of a bother than you expected, so I understand if you can't work on the mod anymore. Heie hope the update is going well. Your mod is missed and needed it adds just the right number of traditions unlike others mods which add to many. Also this worked with STNH and was the only tradition mod that did. You should try to maintain that compatibility going forward thanks!

@ Marcus Marcellus Augustus Feel free. Though you need to PM Meltup to ask him to add you as mod contrbutor for that. I decided to change mod conception and add some new swaps for corporations (including some swaps for crime syndicates specifically), that is why it taken longer that I expected, which in couple with my IRL issues ended up in that delay.

Next few weeks probably. I am sorry for delay but I have lots of issues to deal with IRL and do not have much time to work on mod, or even play stellaris for now I afraid cause of it (and I still need to do some play testing too). Sorry for that.

having a problem where the origional traditions are completely bugging out and inly some of the perks are there. This happens in save games and new games

@ Kserkes It is true it still needs some balancing, especially in parts for consiusness (be it hive or AI - as I was not playing them for long) though, I was trying to make it balanced considering it as whole branch, so if some specific tradtion seems weak, it only means the whole branch has some strong point elsewhere that suppose to balance that weakness in comparison to other swaped traditions.

I have feeling that cybernetics traditions is very disapointing. Probably not worth to update it before Le Guinn but i think automated buildings are very weak. I also think some traditions could use some more leader experience gain, it's very neglected mechanic in game. Maybe just a little nerf to Bureauctaric Perfection? It makes ambitions little too overpowered i think

Le Guin will change a lot of things (too much for my taste) , and some of us (like me) intend to stay with a pre Le Guin version of the game... having this trad available anyway would be great ...
I hope you will consider this possibility.

As for the mod and aggression tree, I was planning to release it earlier before and change it to be improving chosen ascension path (like advanced traditions plus mod), but then decided to wait till Le Guin (as it's going to change many general game mechanics) to make complete rework and rebalance of the mod after that.

@Chosen Mimes Just checked it and it still works fine for me. Is there possibility you accidently unchecked it cause of outdated mods warning screen? (happened to me few times somehow).
Or maybe you are using some other mods that change interface perhaps?
