need a mod that just removes the mystic mirror layer of the parallax.

It doesn't do anything, i got more fps without any parallax mods.

static background would be nice for fps and it would look good too, mabye just do the last layer of the paralax.

Been years since I tried FU so I don't really remember how it looked like. But do you feel static background helps with your issue?

remember that the Shoggoth mission in FU has the background like this,maybe there will be other kinds of pictures used for static background

None at the moment, but it can be done. But I'm not sure if silent background (you mean static background?) would help with your issue. You want the background to not move at all?

I wonder if there's a version to only stop these parallaxes and make them into a silent picture background?Though most of them are beautiful but my computer can't work with parallax on.

it works underground , it just makes the underground look kinda odd.

For everyone unsure about this mod, before subscribing, backup your storage folder right before downloading. So if you change your mind later, you can remove this mod then grab your back up storage and replace the new storage with the old one before downloading.

You can use the alternative mods provided in the mod description. Get the "No Surface Backgrounds".

Interesting. So you're suggesting to make the image static? That is possible but will require some more work. I'm afraid I don't have enough time to do it myself, but I can help you on how you can do it by yourself though. Add me on Steam if you're interested.

1. Go to the affected planets in your game, take notes of each coordinate.
2. Then in Steam Library, right click on Starbound and choose "Browse Local Files".
3. You will be taken to Starbound folder, now open /storage/ folder.
4. Open /universe/ folder.
5. Find the files with file type WORLD that has the filename that matches your coordinate.
6. Alternatively, you can also sort the files by "Date Modified". Make sure the it shows the recently modified on top, as it will show the most recent planets you visited in the game.
7. Delete those affected files. Remember to only delete files with WORLD filetype.
8. Reenter the planets to regenerate the parallax.

One consequence: deleting the WORLD files will reset the planets to its default state. So make sure your stuff or base isn't there.

Hey, sorry I was away for a long time. This DOES NOT corrupt save files. But the affected planets will remain affected (parallax will still be removed).

If you want to recover the lost parallax you need to delete the affected planets (planets that have no parallax).

How to do it? See the next comment.

if you ask for what i mean, a perfect example is the parallax settings in terraria. just turn off the parallax effect. and still have a back-ground.

is it possible to at least remove the parallax effetc and NOT THE ENTIRE PICTURE???? but because i need it i am installing. (im nut gunu layk this.)

He should have made warning that this may corrupt save file.

to fix back ground valadate game uninstall (and the game validate again if requred)
then move to a new planet or new charactor because in the code that back ground i peminatly remove/ set to N/A

Mod update. Thanks to Enigma, I added some unremoved files. Not every files he mentioned I added though (e.g. intro mission intentionally still has parallax)
