NOTICE: Seems that CA has updated the launcher and this likely broke non-workshop mods. I will be looking into how this is fixed OR may be uploading this mod properly through the workshop now that file size limits are removed.

@Ghost Nappa Due to the shield's grip design I had to do it like this, otherwise there would be terrible clipping issues.

Great mod I am using it for my new west roman play through but I noticed a small bug that the Romans are not holding the shields but float away from them. anyway thanks for this, It made me want to try vanilla again. :P

i want to use this for my personal mod could i? for my underrated amazing godly roman mod? :D

Actually not unit reskin, but shield "reskin" for other mods, (Radious roman units mod for example). Your oval shield patterns are awesome .

This mod is not a shit, lazy comments are shit, for example. Avetis made excellents reskins but he is devoted too to historical approach, and if one man would be so patient to read notitia dignitatum and read a bit of basics about roman armies, he would learn easily that variety was not so common in imperial armies, especially about shield patterns.

@Zlopetz: It's just about the shields smartass, it's not a unit reskin mod. Read the description....

Learn how Avetis make mods like that, he is much more experienced.

Units during this era were designated by shield pattern. The ones with slightly different ones are actually incorrect. I just decided to do that for some variety. I have no plans to make variations of the same pattern.

Looks amazing, but I think there should be more than one shield pattern per unit, so not all of them have the exact same. According to your screenshots there are only two units with different variations on the shields

so your saying romans didnt use the skinny oval shields that celts used in around 266 BCE?

If I find the time Ill do so. Currently if people want to match the patterns to their mods or units they will have to look up most of the unit designations for them. I labled a few but most if I couldn't find right away I just made and moved on.

One suggestion, maybe with the download include a image file with all the shield patterns on it and their corrisponding names for a kinda quick reference guide.
