I currently have a unit modding guide in the works, so once that is done you can make whatever mod you want :)
In regards to Poland, I already have a different model planned for T4 that I think people will be relatively happy with
from tier 3 era

i also I found this only in hungarian language and no pictures, but here it is if interested (about black army)
http://www.gesztes.hu/2012/05/matyas-seregenek-viselete-es.html
it says south german (gothic?) plate (mainly for heavy cavalry), or leather, ringmail body armor types were used depending on the unit type and wealth of the soldier. Most popular helmets were: kettle hat (ur tier 2 model using this), the salade/sallet, "eastern/turk" (ligh cavalry) helmet and barbute helmet.
(btw these black army "uniforms" (armors, helmets) are shown on the era of mohacs as well (1526) or atleast similar, but after 1550-1600 armor was never/rarely used as i know, only some transylvanian heavy cavalry still used armor for upper body+helmet)
the theodoro tier 2 unit from cossack dlc is also looking interesting for using it as tier 2 if u want a more western look a bit.it shows western and eastern style which would "fit" to hungary, also it is half-armored with that helmet)
the best and easiest would be probably using the polish tier 2 unit model from catholic unit pack as tier 2, and the bohemian tier 2 model from evangelical as tier 3 unit.
feels like a natural evolution/transition also shows where tier 4 came from and how evolved, and it is similar of what hungarians worn as u can see on the pictures at those time periods.
transylvania should be compatible also with this mod not only hungary btw
paint showing a light infantry from black army era. The detailed unit u gave us for tier 1 is fine as well, since it represents the heavy infantry uniform.
the more problematic model is the cavalry which i didnt mentioned before
what about using tier 1-2 cavalry model from the polish winged hussars dlc? (minus the wings of course for tier 2. if u can, just remove it. they used only "cape")
Other solution could be also, for ur existing tier 1 cavalry unit (if u dont want to use winged hussar dlc models), to use lance/spear in hand, and keeping the model.(sword/sabre attached)
, and the polish/bohemian "religious" dlc, or even default original model, for tier 2
both heavy and light cavalry used the lance/spear as main/common weapon
from tier 3 (maybe even from tier 2 if u want): their weapon sabre in hand, and no spear at all
as historical as it is
Paradox Eu4 unit models are already has unhistorical accuracy unit models, if paradox wanted to make it historical there would be 7 tiers unit models, tier 1:1400s, tier 2:1500s, tier 3:1600s, tier 5: early 1700s, tier 6:mid to late 1700s, tier 7: Early 1800s
Mare Nostrum is the biggest offender, before the patch paradox made the algerians, Tunisian black.
the lack of diverse unit rigs, almost all of them are the same model holding a spear. paradox could atleast give swords and shields to west african and middle eastern nations
ur romanian tier 2-3 models are much better, also some polish models could be used as well if anything, those things look way more hungarian
http://www.eu4wiki.com/Unit_models
the picture u show, is from 15 century uniform, since black army existed only in 15 century, it was disbanded right after Mattias death and some part of black army who rebelled was defeated in 1494 and it was no more. The picture was maybe painted during 16 century though, but this means that history was written after things already happened...
this means ur tier 2 model not only is used in wrong time period (u are using 100yrs war unit model after all which is a tier 1 unit in a non-feudalism era), but as i said its not rly looking hungarian and even the original default model looks better.Btw those on the picture u posted, it could be easily bohemian mercenaries.i can post lot of pictures where 14-15-16 century mans are shown very differenty, and looks actually hungarian.
T3 I chose simply because I was going for a "Western Influence" soldier, due to the fact that during the 18th century, Hungary was a part of the Hapsburg Monarchy and therefore would have been (at least theoretically) armed and uniformed in a very similar way to the Austrians.
I'm sorry that you don't like them, but a lot of people seem to and I don't plan on changing them.
how come u did end up putting a medieval unit into tier 2 srly lol
