These utility vehicles are just the ticket!

@swaffora Yeah, this is good survival ship as its so cheap. I've been using it a lot while ferrying around my miner and mining asteroids. When you don't need it anymore or change planets - add a warp core (can be tricky, but theres a version for it too by AndyH, check the links) - but its also easy to disassemble as there are so few parts if you need the parts to build something bigger.

@CrusadeNeo Sit on the cockpit, access Control Panel (P), open "4 - Mining", from there you find Mining Turret, double click on it. It only works on asteroids - and not on just any asteroids, but only the ones that contain ore. They're pretty rare so you have to and wander arout in the asteroid belt. Usually there are 2-3 around each planet.

@brigadon I sure can. Can be found here: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=853390437 Its the same without the turrets or mining storage boxes.

Can you make a starter version without the Erestrium and Zascosium?

You get a like just for making me think of MST3K

@AndyH Looking cool, thank you. And glad you continued the name theme - but just FYI, I know you meant Näkki - but nakki actually means small sausage in finnish :-) Thats a very descriptive name too, though! ;-)

very nice thank you both

Roger that, raidyday. The warp variant PM-18b Nakki is linked here: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=847665917

@AndyH Go for it, I like what you've done with it!
I am planning to do tweaked up version thats designed to work without the separate containers - but not really a warp capable vessel. So there's room for that.

@Monar Thanks. I've had a few requests for sharing as it might make an excellent lifeboat BP without the mining turret. I could make it public access, but as an author that specializes in modding, I'd rather it be at rainyday's request since the changes were so basic in nature and the screenshot shows a lot of what needs to be done to make one independently.

@rainyday ah I see though its a bit to big, really liked the first design only thing it can't warp but very nice overall

@Monar
As inspired by @AndyH version of Sampo, I have new ship ready - it's slightly bigger, but still offering the same design principles. Not just a mining rig, SXV is for all space faring needs (excluding combat). You can check it out here http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849752457

@AndyH nice, would it be possible to share that version of the ship?

Empyrion needs more cool junkyard-looking stuff like this! Love it

Light, efficent and gets the job done. With few modifications, it can be use as a deployment ship for a HV for mining.
rainyday  [auteur] 21 jan 2017 om 7:19
@AndyH, Nice job! Glad to see such a versatile use for this ship. :)

Very minimal. Very cheap. Very nice. Modded mine to be warp capable with a landing pad for an escort SV, plus 3 of those HV miners: http://i.imgur.com/tQ5hyuw.jpg

Sure thing. Added an image of the requirements.
