hey i would like to ask how to make the turret come back to the initial position , i have seen the instruction in the description and once i make the rotors limits the turret is not working ( because to the limits ) so how to fix it

I am attempting to create an ion cannon based laser turret using this AI. I am trying to get it to aim without leading the target, but since it automatically leads the target it fires into open space when the target is moving. Is there a way to disable target leading?

excuse me.. I encountered a problem like, the turret only targets enemies at a super close range. like about 50m. Is there a way to fix it?

Is there a way to slow down how fast each tick is? its flipping on/off on the shooting so quick that the turret isn't registering to fire.

I figured out my problem with the turret and I feel really dumb... I forgot gyros and turning the rotors off -_-

I found a problem where if the rotor limits arn't mirrored, the turret won't come to rest in the center of the limited range but instead rest at maximum AZ and EL and won't track the designating turret.
For example, if the AZ or EL limits are 90, -50, the turret stays pinned at AZ or EL 90. but if the limits are 90, -90, the turret AZ or EL will rest at 0 and will track a target.

Based upon my knowledge they are all just fine, I have rotor breaks set, I have limits on my rotors where necessary, the module is centered upon the rotating base of the turret (the layer that turns, not the part that directly connects as part of the ship) and I checked the code and it shows no errors.. I own all the blocks, and my designator turret is tracking just fine :/ maybe I built the turret wrong? Idk.. it’s a platform with a rotor on the bottom that rotates 2 arms that has the weapon on its up/down axis.

few things to check:
- ownership of everything
- rotor limits set correctly
- if the designating turret is tracking
- no error messages in the code
- correct positioning of the module

I need some help please, I made a turret mounting a laser, it is built using a base, which has a rotor on top, then another platform where I put 2 arms which connect using rotors to the firing piece, and I tried installing the module on separate areas of the turret and it won’t work, I’ve made sure I own all blocks in the turret and it says it was running yet it was not tracking or firing the gun

Is this confirmed to still work in survival? I can't copy or paste blueprints in survival and the script isn't showing up in a program block.

The script is working perfectly fine at this date the error we can see are not blocking the script to work fine you can ignore them and ave fun.

Ther is one problem in the new versions of Space Engineers with your skript: it doesen´t work and I think the problem is when you check the code, you will see that some lines are obsolete. I think here is the mistake. Please correct it.

Large grid is working perfectly, but small grid has 2 problems:
1) It can't seem to control more than 1 arm once no matter how the PBs, Cockpit, or turrets are positioned.
2) When set up properly with just 1 turret arm, it will only fire 1 weapon on that arm. The rest will make a clicking sound and not fire (removing the PB causes them to all start firing)

I have the turret setup like in the gif above but the it won't target anything. Control block says its not picking up any weapons or rotors.

this is odd, i made a planet defense cannon but its not working, its saying no primary weapon found when i have 9 rocket launchers perfectly attached. Am i doing something wrong?

The turrets move the gun barrels on activation of the designator turret for a second then lock up and freeze in place.

Awesome Script. Everything works great for me except just one thing. My barrels go to their max elevation when they return to their original orientation. Is this a normal bug? Or is there a way to set the auto orentiation? Idealy I would like them to return to the bottom of my rotor settings to 0.
