@Zankar Valdosta check out my trilogy explorer if you're still interested in the trinity with a jump sled :) I just unloaded it and it's on the fp if you want to check it out.

This is a great little ship! Super function as well as looking awesome :D
Your video is well edited too, and I love the look of that save with the crashed Trinity-Class, would make a great starter world if you uploaded it ;)

Finally remembered to paste this thing in and no I ask that you upload the jump sled from the video as it fit the looks of the ship.
Zankar 16. jan. 2017 kl. 15:11
Medbay is probably the only thing I would try to work in somehow, even if it ends on up of the jump sled/ring.
Extevious  [ophavsmand] 16. jan. 2017 kl. 14:45
@Commander Shepard Because the ship itself is far too small for even a medbay let alone a Jump Drive.
aaronlukemarshall 16. jan. 2017 kl. 14:13
Why did you opt for no medbay or jump drive in your design?

@Zankar Yeah, that's why on the toolbar, tab 3 I have a bunch of simple controls to maunally control the thrusters output for both the hydrogen and the Atmospheric thrusters. You sure do save a heap of hydrogen if you do so... one of the reasons why people run out of hydrogen so quickly is because they are firing the thrusters at 100% rather then a possible minimum of maybe 30% or so (depends on the ship).

Would be nice to see keen implant some sort of real-time ajustable thruster output limit using the scrollwheel or something thay way you dont burn so much fuel.

Thanks for the comment!

Haven't tryed it out yet but I love the concept and minimulistic approch. Really love the idea of jump rings/sleds/barge, I use one for small grid ships and my early game large grid K.I.S.S. hydrogen rocket. Never thought about using one for a full on large grid ship though.

And fuel consumption on a single large hydro with single tank is not bad at all if you make good use of thruster override when trying to reach orbit. Only have it just high enough to maintain max speed and you will be fine, specially since this ship has other thrusters to help at all altitudes. Even when loaded my K.I.S.S. rocket can arrive in orbit with a full tank because the single oxy generator on it refills faster than the large hydro consumes with proper throttle control.

@rayymondas well, the Large Hydrogen thruster imo was intended to get it up to speed and use the Ion to maintain acceleration, dampeners etc. Otherwise, thanks for the comment!

@Michaecola Thanks!
Michaecola 14. jan. 2017 kl. 20:01
the ship design is just genius man , well done:steamhappy:
rayymondas 14. jan. 2017 kl. 17:00
Only thing I don't like is the lack of rear facing ion thruster, though that's a really minor nag that can be easily fixed. Nice ship!
JCapt 14. jan. 2017 kl. 16:47
Yeah, I don't have issues, I just was wondering. :)
Extevious  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. 2017 kl. 16:15
@Son o'Petrified Yeah haha that's disgusting and I totally agree with you... I mean, a lot of ships regardless get their name from something random or madeup... If it sounds 'bad' I usally google it first... otherwise I go ahead and call it what i had in mind haha. But, from now on I may consider figureing out what it means before hand to avoid any issues
JCapt 14. jan. 2017 kl. 15:33
Ah... don't be like the Japanese and call things names unless you know what they mean... apparently there was a shampoo called baby's pee :steamfacepalm:
Extevious  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. 2017 kl. 13:15
@Son o'Petrified Originally I just named it 'Trinity' because it sounded cool.... it was also fitting because it's a small exploration ship. Tho, after googling the definition of 'Trinity' it does make sense why you asked the question... as it can fly in all 3 environments xD

@Bad Humor Quick! Put on your anti-laser underpants! xD
JCapt 14. jan. 2017 kl. 12:29
So, why is it called trinity? Is it because of ability to be using in the three environments of SE?
Bad Humour 13. jan. 2017 kl. 23:35
Space spiders have bloody lasers now. Well im fucked XD
Deathlok-L17 10. jan. 2017 kl. 16:07
Anytime engineer XD

@Deathlok-L17 Thanks! :D

@Joshua Norton Glad you like it! :)
Joshua Norton 10. jan. 2017 kl. 11:01
wow, a very interesting ship design, well done :)
Deathlok-L17 10. jan. 2017 kl. 10:34
Nice! And great video!!! btw :)
