thrusters? or do you mean the front? that are containers with shrapnells in them. the wahead explodes before hitting the ship, ddamaging the outer hull and shooting the shrapnell out

it's settled to oksydus tribal union. the patterns of the ships fit to the tribal idea, and maybe the two orange shapes of the emblem resemble the two tribes that made the union. and oksydus as a play of words from oxygen which is a byproduct when electrolysing water(ice) to H2. THe names were mashed up from suggestions
