@Jayn the original height map is from an area in South Korea near a city called Gwangyang. If you look on google maps you'll see it near the southern coast of South Korea. I added a couple mountains of my own with a terrain editing program called Wilbur and then put in the rivers and smoothed it the coastlines to get the result you see.
