Not that I want to push the author to do anything, but just thought I should add my voice to the "A17 update please" request.

Oilooc 28 Jan, 2017 @ 1:17pm
Too OP, pls nerf!

No seriously, the previous comments say this is slow but as far as I've seen with bill I've given it
it will fulfill it 1000 fold...
Maybe, cause I'm not spoiled by an extremely fast drill but this thing seems so OP as is now
SerWind 10 Jan, 2017 @ 2:42am
Definitely going with this version over an automatic one, honestly. It's a matter of taste.
Danyo 20 Dec, 2016 @ 1:10pm
@nephilimnexus not neccesarily, I picked this one over DCM because of it being slower, and I like that it needs pawn interraction, I'm not a fan of overly automated stuff ( usually ) in my rimworld games.
nephilimnexus 5 Dec, 2016 @ 1:11am
If you want to make it slower than the DCM but still appealing to players then you need it to run automatically, without requiring any pawn interaction.

Such things have existed before, so it's certainly possible.

you can start with one of the most subscribed mod, this http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=725576127&searchtext= or this http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=725657237 for gliter tech. Maybe if you made the patch, there will be more people subscribing to your mod! again, thank you captain!

@darktoes by the time I've set up an end-game drill like this one or DCM, I've got MiningBots (from Misc. Robots mod) who work my normal and deep drills both for me. My best miners have mining at priority 3 tops, usually 4 instead. The 'bots learn slow but it's free labor for nothing but power.
CaptainJuicy  [author] 15 Nov, 2016 @ 6:36am
@mraadx - Sure! I can probably do that. Did you have a link to the mod you'd like included?
mraadx 14 Nov, 2016 @ 11:50pm
yes captain, I mean separate mod. like the deep core miner have uploaded a version where it can mine other minerals from other mods, and some surgery mod have uploaded a mod patch to avoid conflicts. soo... maybe you can upload another sustainable drill mod, but compatible to modded materials. well... I have nothing to give you but thanks if you would do that. no pressure :)
CaptainJuicy  [author] 14 Nov, 2016 @ 6:20pm
@mraadx that would *require* the mod that provides the materials, and this wouldn't work for players without the mod :(
mraadx 14 Nov, 2016 @ 6:13pm
please also add patch for modded materials to be mineable. like titanium from glitter tech. great mod. thanks!
darktoes 13 Nov, 2016 @ 3:42pm
Honestly I'd prefer one that was quicker than the core drill. Spend all day mining to get 2 units worth of gold? Bleh.
gatherer818 13 Nov, 2016 @ 3:32pm
Hmm.. difficult choice. Deep Core Miner mines faster, but then I have to work to convert steel into components... I think the faster mining of jade/gold/silver/uranium makes up for that, though. I like the idea, but I'm probably just going to stick with DCM.
