You really need to update this mod to work with a wider range of axes and hammers. Barely any of the hammers and axes that are used in mods co-operate with this mod these days and it's very sad. I really liked using axes and hammers because they provided a wide range of damage and utility when it came to half-charging attacks for faster but consistent damage or backing off to wind up fully. :Y

@Aro: Yes, this is because you edit the core axecleave and hammer lua files. FR does the same. Your edits are not the same, so they cannot patch/merge.

Found the culprit: Frackin' Races.
Seems if anyone has that it will interfere with this mod.

@Aro you deleted the comment where you said what error was occuring. But yes, if it was not charging the way this mod does then you are looking for those.
If you send me a boot log I will put eyes on it. (pastebin it or find me on the forums)

Ruled out the ones I thought were the cause and a few suspicious. Randomly disabling is not fun so think I need a better search method.
If I expand all the mods in seach of hammersmash.lua and axecleave.lua will that give a better indication?

@Argle There's a way to change load order. Has to do with a priority paramenter in one of those meta or modinfo files

Any mod that overwrites the hammer or axe lua scripts will do it. You could try turning mods on and off one by one to see which one does it, but there's not much you will be able to do to fix the conflict unless you can change the load order of the mods, which I'm not sure how to do (I think it might be alphabetical?).

Sounds awesome! Either charge up your weapon for a strong strike or release early for a puny strike. Fair and balanced, people will only find this mod helpful under the proper circumstances.

Kinda offtop, but: didnt play since 1.0, so - cant remember: do charged hamaxe stay in this state until button released, or there is timer, makes you auto-uncharge it?

Swinging faster reduces the damage exactly relative to the quickness of the swing. That means rapidly clicking will get you very little damage. That, plus the delay when the hammer lands (unchanged), means you will actually be doing slightly less total damage if you spam click than if you charge for the full length.

If you want a mod that auto-fires hammers and axes, you could try out The Honey Badger's mod , which does that instead.

This is kind of cheap to use because it makes it so you can swing your hammer/axe very very fast. You can just spam heavy damage.

You could try making it overide the whole thing or something and use the old version of swinging hammers/axes. You just click and it swings for you, at a realistic speed.
