snd_restart but you shouldn't need it. The call to prayer is triggered very rarely so don't worry if you don't hear it after you subscribe to the mod. The Market radio should be fairly obvious t hough.

I was having the problem too, apparently you need to tell the game which part of the WAV to loop by adding queues to the file using GoldWave like so: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Looping_a_Sound

I thought it would just automatically loop the whole sound file, but nope. Hopefully that helps.

Man there is something about that creepy ass music on Tell that makes me looooove how just evil and spooky it sounds. Maybe its just me.

Sorry Red but I think stylistically that nasheed is too close to the existing one I'm using on Market, and I can't just tack it onto the end of the existing radio broadcast because most rounds end before the 2nd one even plays.

But on the upside, since that nasheed is super-easy to loop with just a ~1 minute clip, if I make a server-side version that is optimized to be small in filesize (so people can join faster), that nasheed will be the one I'll use.

That "nasheed" you are talking about is part of the game and unless something amazing arises I don't plan on replacing it soon.

But the good news is... we recently rolled out an update that added adhans to maps like Market, Dry Canal, Revolt, etc. and they sound perfect.

Revolt has a special morning call to prayer since... that map looks to be morning.

It works on the AkH server, I'm not sure if adding this stuff to other maps works by default. But they will work in all co-op servers, that's for sure. They allow anything.

But it was quite the sight when I heard the sound on Dry Canal out of nowhere, it was kinda amazing. I didn't expect it.

Yep! That call to prayer is confirmed working on District and Siege. I'm assuming it's on most/all urban style maps.

So on maps that have that big ass tower that's the call to Salah is a full on Prayer? link to the Salah you used?

Thanks, I found it. It's a military radio that appears to only play static, it doesn't have cool Arabic speaking on it like the military radio on Heights has (Delta Skirmish). Since it's a military radio I don't think music would be playing over it, but I can probably get some arabic speaker on there to talk about something. Or maybe I can come up with something else.

I have to be careful that the file that radio plays isn't re-used for Security radios and stuff, otherwise it might be weird to hear Insurgent stuff coming over American frequencies. I'll be sure to test it out the best that I can to make sure that doesn't happen though.

I was talking to Kudumuz about adding his Authentic Prayer mod into my mod, since I was hearing it on alot of maps (like District) and I felt it added to the atmosphere that we are both aiming for. In that case it makes no sense to have the mods split up from eachother since the overlap between our audiences is so great.

Yeah on Revolt's Security side inside the mosque there is audio playing, and on the other side of the map near Ins' shops there's some music playing there too.

Could you link me to an example of what type of audio you think would fit? My Googling with that term didn't really turn up anything related and I'm not an Arabic speaker so I don't know exactly what to type in.

Damn that tell athan was amazing. Revolt reminds me of Gaza city a lot, so maybe you should make the radio in the mosque playing something Fedayeenish (since why would there be music in a mosque)

So far this mod only replaces somalia_radio_loop.wav, which I believe is only used on Market. It's located under those windows that overlook Delta (on Skirmish) / Charlie (on Firefight) on the Insurgent side of the map. There's a small radio outside like in the picture/video that plays that sound file on a loop.

I plan on recording a gameplay example soon so that should give a better example. But I keep dying when I try to stand near the radio cause all the bots swarm me since I'm not moving :P

I'm considering changing the song loop on Revolt near the Insurgent side as well but I need to find something fitting for that location.

My buddy Kudumsuz made a Call to Prayer mod for Tell which I find pretty cool. I just wish I thought of it first :P
