The silver shortsword feels like it swings as fast as the Rueful axe, which is literally the slowest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapon in the entire game. In reality it proabably swings as fast as any two-handed weapon. If you're still updating this mod, I thought I might bring it to your attention.

"but beware, shortswords are less silent than daggers" - Not to fear, I have a sneak and muffle buff of over 28 thousand percent I think as an "tail" armor. I think it would be awesome though if there were khajiit tail and toe rings, considering argonians have armor-tail mods...

so they look like swords, but they highly mimmick data of daggers? smart man.

Great mod but it is true that short swords are supposed to be a faster, lighter, and more subtle alternative to normal swords for more aggressive thieves and assassins.

Thx for putting this mod on Steam, i tryed to down load it several time on the nexus and it kept giving me an error message when i tryed to activate it. so i am glad i have a chance to trry this mod out.

I also think that the shortswords should benefit from the bladesman perk and not from the assassin's blade perk, if this was changed I would play with your mod.

Disappointed that Armsman does nothing. I was about to hit that Subscribe button until I saw that. I don't need a "bigger dagger" for anything.

I don't know if you can change it, but if you made it so that short swords gained at least half of the Armsman benefit and only half of Assassin's Blade, that would have been a fine compromise.

Also, I'm fine with just crafting them. A non leveled list version would be perfect for me, but I am not going to another site for it. I only want to use the Steam Workshop.

Yes. Shortswords are generally a good thing to have. Especially since the Empire is based on the Roman Empire, whose legionaries used shortswords to make them more effective against the rest of Europe, who relied on longswords, and ended up at a disadvantage when a shortsword wearing legionary got nice and close in order to negate their reach advantage. Babbling aside, I'd always wished there were more shortswords in Skyrim (the Imperial sword looks like the smith couldn't decide whether to make it short or long).

Awesome. I always used short swords in Morrowind and Oblivion. I hate how the newer games cut out content like short swords and how they just merged together the leggings and cuirasses into just armor i preferred it when i could wear elven leggings with a dwarven cuirass.

Perfect mix between the good assassin and the "♥♥♥♥ went down" assassin

Maybe dawnguard and dragonborn add ons (dragon bone and stalthrim)

now all we need is a spear or poleaxe and the elderscrolls amory is complete

they are more like large daggers instead of shortswords but they are still incredibily cool

No, the shortsword weapon would still use the stell textures. The texture path for the mesh has to be changed so he points to the new Skyforge textures.

I have subscribed to a mod by the name of Skyforge Weapons by Dreogan. This mod just retextures the skyforge weapons to be unique from standard weapons. I'm not sure if you have skyforge shortswords (I think i saw it mentioned in your patch notes) but if you do, would it be compatible with Skyforge Weapons?

I very much like the mod. It gives a nice finishing touch to the certain classes as you described. Also, (overflow of good memories incoming) you mentioned simplifications. I instantly started thinking back to the "good ol' times" of Morrowind and Oblivion. They were so immersing and interesting, full of discovery and diversity. Now that Skyrim has been out for a while, I really cannot remember that many things which gave the... unique feeling to the game. I mean it's still a great game, but after a while all that it seems to have is snow, draugr and those flying scale-covered-and-over-sized lighters. Having different things to look out for (was it a creature or, for example, the condition of your armor) made those worlds feel more complex and more alive.

oblivion did not have short swords but morrowind did

There are no 'draugr' short swords. I haven't done companion to see if you can craft any or that sort. searching the console with the keyword shortsword does not show any sort of nord, draugr, honed, or skyforge type shortsword. Also I have been killing a lot of draugr and have never seen it.

Heavy Amory does have both shortsword and One handed hammers. They're called Mauls;)

Yeah... it has everything BUT one handed hammers :) If you add the short swords and one handed hammers to it I would love to subscribe to it but all I am looking for is lore friendly one handed hammers that have the stats of a mace but look like the hammers just... one handed.

I am playing a character based on Thor but apparently no one makes one handed hammers in Skyrim? Why WHY?! (And yes I know there are Mjolner mods... not what I am looking for. I just want Skyrim friendly one handed hammers)

Download the mod from the Nexus. There's a "craftable-only" .esp in the download that does just that.
