There doesn't really seem to be any similar mod for flying units like Pegasus Knights nor Hippogryph Knights for TW2 so it is a shame that one cannot use lance formation for one's flying units in the second game. :(

This mod should be available for Total Warhammer 2 as well. But it isn't. That is a crime that the Lady cannot abide by. Could you please add it to TW2? <3

Thank you Cataph. For your months of service to the Crown.

Adding it to the melee cav is a nice touch, so it's nice to know this is still serving a purpose. I'm not sure how this formation would work for fliers or a unit of just 4 creatures, but I can roll.

Even if you ever stop updating it, this deserves to be left up. For the nostalgia, and as a reminder of our ability to notice and efforts to correct problems with games. Even games we love. And as a reminder how a few people will go out of the way to things slightly more enjoyable for a bunch of complete strangers.

So, it seems that CA finally stopped being a coven of imperial lackeys and are going to give Lance to most bret knights. So this mod would become redundant on the 28th, after eight months of loyal service.

However, I'm probably going to keep it here for lolz and other means, be it to nerf the official effect if necessary or simply to apply the Lance to modded units.

The results are from 6 test -in 100 % Brets lost the battle ;/
Conclusion : The frontal atack with knights of the realm is not a cost efective way to deal with the heavy infantry . The bretonnia needs heavy infantry that holds the line ..ANd they do not have one :/ At least in vanilla

I would say several things :

I have stested 60 knights of the realm and 1 general vs one vamp general and 120 grave guard with shields ( the reason they are the same cost) with upgrades, no magic,

With lance formation on the charge is great (all units are down from 2 to 4 models are dead ) but if you leave it in formation they will kill 30 to to 40 sth models and Bret will lose . With out formation the charge is weaker ( from 0 to 2 models down) BUT last for longer in mele - from 40 sth to 56 models killed .Of course you can charge in formation and disable the formation after impact ( this game needs alot of babysiting anyway ) the result is .. well a little bit better - sth like 50 sth models .

Well thinking about it would give Bretonnian Calvery something that distinguishes them from other Knightly Calvery from the Empire and Vampires.

@Lord Bear He is sticking to the lore / TT. In Warhammer, the only ones fighting in wedge formation are the Knights of Bretonnia. Other armies don't use that strategy.

Cataph, how can I make it compatible with my Black Grails http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=712918398 ? I tried to add compatibility patch with only land units to abilities db entry but it doesnt work. Only writing in You mod in this table add the ability to my unit :( form_wedge black_grail. I would add the entry in my mod but it makes it dependent on Your and crashes without it.

@IT H@S ELECTROLYTES: I have no idea, it's not something I can fix on my side. When resubbing, make sure you have no AK_lance and AK_TEB packs in your WH data folder and restart steam after each step. :| You'll have to dig deeply into google to fix one of the many steam hiccups, I'm afraid.

@cataph it doesnt update on the launcher it basically all i can say the bar under the picture just stays white i already unsubcribing and reinstallling the game dont know why it wont update same thing happens with southern realms

@Alberic Strein: never heard of Bloodies forming Lance? Some of them might even be originally Brets but I never read of them having the rule. Besides, the problem is that the skill is applied to each unit, and giving it to Mousillon would make any other VC Black Knight etc to form Lance, which is nope.
