Any chance of this being ported to SE/AE?

When you created this mod, did you know that in dark reach there are special mining places where you can mine soul gems?

This mod instantly cured my depression and gave me a soul

Would love it if you could post this to Nexus and port it to SSE. I used to love having it in my Skyrim play throughs but this time I wanted to play SSE and it doesn't have steam workshop support.

Anyway thank you for making such a great Mod.

Very useful mod. I no long run out of petty soul gems as I use those a lot.

This mod worked like magic, I suddenly don't hate everything anymore! Thanks Spockrates!
liosalpha 9 września 2016 o 5:00
@redeyedraven lol, I like tho think that's the reason the deadra of madness had his portal in Cyrodill XD

@sp0ckrates i have been plaing with this mod, Perkus maximus and mining overhaul mod. (think those are the only ones that mess with the mining drops) And it seems to work fine, only thing is that the gems (garnets, amethists, rubies etc.) seems to be droping ad the same rate as the ores.
sp0ckrates  [autor] 9 września 2016 o 2:38
Redeyedraven: Yeah

Oblivion was weird to begin with. Even for a TES-game. SO MUCH weird stuff.

1. Emperor Uriel Septim VII is murdered right in front of you (he has been alive and more or less responsible for every major event happening in EVERY PREVIOUS TES-game).

He was in planar captivity for a decade while the player cleared Arena...
He sent a champion to Daggerfall that made several timelines happen at the same time, resulting in a big happy family of cultures.
He sent the re-incarnation of Nerevar to Morrowind.
Then there's a plot-convenient secret tunnel in a prison, a murder, and a destiny.

2. Every city except for the capitol and that nordic-looking village look ALMOST EXACTLY the same!

3. Literal "hellgates" opening everywhere. And Cyrodiil is the TES-version of Rome, not London!

4. People have friendly faces and shiny bloom-effects when talking to you, even though hellgates are open everywhere. Now that's some naive optimism right there :D

Liosalpha: Good idea!
liosalpha 6 września 2016 o 3:53
Hmm if you up for it ad a merge/split spell for the gems too. ^^
sp0ckrates  [autor] 6 września 2016 o 3:42
Liosalpha: Thanks for the info. Don't know much about Oblivion, having played it for only a brief time. Yeah, having a spell or some way to craft black soul gems is a good idea.
sp0ckrates  [autor] 6 września 2016 o 3:40
Lax: Thanks, and no problem.
liosalpha 4 września 2016 o 22:46
ow, on the lore side... black soul gems used to be craftable with a ritual and a grand soul gem in oblivion. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Black_Soul_Gem
but then again the game has wierd tropes like ancient fresh food in dungeons. Wolfs with coins on them etc.
liosalpha 4 września 2016 o 22:40
hmm i saw you said it does not conflict with anything... but still anyone tried it with the "mining overhaul" mod?
laxdannyz227 4 września 2016 o 16:44
love this shit man, switching to mo though, so had to unsub :/
sp0ckrates  [autor] 28 sierpnia 2016 o 7:49
Thanks
Madelyn 27 sierpnia 2016 o 7:29
What I think was happening is that the chance for each soul gem as I leveled was stacking until eventually there was a 100% chance for a gem. This is just a theory, and I may be completley wrong, as I have no knowledge of how modding Skyrim works, but it seems like a logical start.
sp0ckrates  [autor] 27 sierpnia 2016 o 6:15
Thanks. The soul gems are by level and have a percent chance. I'll make sure the chance for none is not 0% and release an update.
Madelyn 23 sierpnia 2016 o 4:29
I was level 45 when testing the mod, and the soul gems I were getting were one of a random tier per ore, or a random gem.
sp0ckrates  [autor] 23 sierpnia 2016 o 3:29
Face: Hmmm. That didn't happen when I tested the mod. What level is your character and what soul gems are you getting when you mine?
sp0ckrates  [autor] 23 sierpnia 2016 o 3:24
Koffing: LOL!
Madelyn 21 sierpnia 2016 o 7:14
I can confirm that it appears to be an issue with the mod itself. I've tried having only USLEEP and this activated in the data files and I am still having the issue.
Madelyn 21 sierpnia 2016 o 7:12
I seem to be having an issue with this mod. I installed it today and decided to test it out, but I found that instead of having a chance or getting soul gems it garunteed level gems and soul gems with every ore. I don't have any mods that change the pickaxe, ore veins and mines. Thanks in advance for any help. I'll be testing for mod conflicts, and if anything has changed I'll post another comment.
Zombiehades4 16 sierpnia 2016 o 22:43
There are geode veins in blackreach for this
ScorpioDog 13 sierpnia 2016 o 9:54
Who's to say this isn't lore friendly? Why couldn't "wild" soul gems become fossilized into various kinds of ore during all the volcanic activity of Skyrim any less than other kinds of gemstones?
ScorpioDog 12 sierpnia 2016 o 21:17
Doesn't seem to work for me. Does it require a new game to work? Where should it be positioned, for best results, in "the list"? Top? Bottom? Middle?

Nightingale: Good points, all! I'd recommend you not use this mod, as it's for those who care more about getting some free soul gems than living shackled to the Law of Lore.
Karliah the Nightingale 9 sierpnia 2016 o 7:30
First off there's no evidence that Blackreach is the only hidden subterranian settlement belonging to the Dwarves, there could be some belonging to the Aelids for all we know scattered right across tamriel or even in atmora, a place we've only read about so far. As for Fallion he doesn't practice Necromancy, or at least not in its traditional sense, so you're quite right when you say he wouldn't scour the Soul Carin, he does, however, mention regularly that he has scoured the planes of oblivion and, in case you've forgotten, the Soul Carin IS a plane of oblivion. There's no reason to think that now he's settled down in Morthal he doesn't have some very old friends who supply him. He likely also helped with moving the Atronach Forge and may even have knowlage of how to summon Blacks on a mass scale.
sp0ckrates  [autor] 9 sierpnia 2016 o 2:10
I have the answers to your questions:

1. There's nothing wrong with it. It's just illogical.

2. It's illogical that all of the soul gems you can find throughout Skyrim came from Blackreach.

3. You can go to Soul Carin, but it's illogical to think that's how Falion gets his black soul gems to sell you every few days. At least, my character never met him wandering around there.

4. You make a good point. But then the game is flawed, since black soul gems aren't as rare as they logically should be.
Karliah the Nightingale 8 sierpnia 2016 o 8:50
So I have a question: What's wrong with the Vanilla Soul Gem Mining? Why did you need to create another way of mining them? Oh and if you need Blacks why not just go to the Soul Carin? How can it be considered a "Lore Friendly" mod when Soul Gems come from their own vein and Blacks are not natrually occouring but instead are sourced by those "cleaver" or lucky enough to travel to the Soul Carin and back?

This mod has been included in "THE ULTIMNATE LORE FRIENDLY SKYRIM MODS COLLECTION", updated 07/13/2016. Thank you for your wonderful addition to this collection. Please check it out at http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=106745968 .
sp0ckrates  [autor] 11 lipca 2016 o 11:13
Sirthursday: The mod does add a 10% chance of getting a soul gem, so there's now a 20% chance (1 in 5) of getting something extra each time you mine an ore. Thanks for trying it out. 😊
sp0ckrates  [autor] 11 lipca 2016 o 11:11
Sirthursday: The mod doesn't change the percent chance of getting a gem. It's still 10% for every ore mined. So if you mine 5 ores, you have a 1 out of 10 chance of getting a gem for each one.
