yeah was testing the M1 Garand , will need more testing but it seems like sometimes the recoil is reduced and sometimes not... i will be running a test on my server tonight and ill have it check by a few guys in mp enivorment

There used to be a delay before I changed the addon to be completely config-based (the addon used to be script-based: there was a loop that was checking current weapon and changing the recoil modifier). Now it doesn't have any delays. Is there a particular weapon that feels like it has a delay to you?

I don't think the term "recoil" is applicable to something that is no firearm given the context of this mod. Recoil is the kickback of the weapon that follows the event of firing.

Learn CfgRecoils and CfgWeapons, basically what you need to do is to extract your current CfgWeapons from the game, look up what recoils the weapon you want to change uses, and then redefine that recoil. You will also need to tell the game that your addon is supposed to be loaded after IFA addon, or your settings will be rewritten by IFA. May the Google be with you.

Okay, I've looked into this and updated the mod. I must say that the guys made a pretty slick job with adjusting their recoils, I can see many of my recoils were actually incorporated in IFA. Slight changes here and there don't count.

MG42 and MG34 already were using a decent recoil, but I made it worse. A bit worried about M1919, the recoil is really bad there, although I know that door grip certainly wasn't good enough for precise aiming

it doesnt work for me, i can easily shoot an enemy 300m with the mg42 while standing without bipod
is it possible being overwritten by other mods?

@Fess thx, I don't like new IF recoil system, more, trying to aim wih machinegun is a pain...
trying to aim when turining left , right is almost impossible...

That might be because IFA devs already incorporated my adjusted recoil into their addon, I didnt check that myself yet.

Yes, you may. Feel free to change anything in this addon. I would, however, recommend you to create a steam workshop collection with this addon and all possible included addons that form your own mod, for the sake of all included addons being up to date.

Also, I would appreciate you leaving a direct link on this workshop item rather than simply mentioning my name, if possible.

Yes, I understand that. There will be no dependencies. PPS-43 used IFA3 recoil, so I was able to affect it without creating any new dependencies. If LEN guns use only default IFA recoils, all guns in that pack are also affected by this mod.

@Fess, if you can create another mod just for LEN weapon pack. Otherwise it coulde cause a dependency on the Len weapons for those who don't use them.

I'm looking at LEN Weapons pack. Can confirm that they used default PPSh-41 recoil for their PPS-43, and thus I was able to affect that gun as well. I made PPS-43 use different recoil, and I made it more precise than PPSh-41.

PPS-43 was designed as a lighter, simpler in production and more compact replacement for big and heavy PPSh-41. Sudayev (the creator of the weapon) decreased the RPM to 600-700 (vs 1000rpm PPSh) to make the weapon more controllable.

The exact recoil for both PPSh-41 and PPS-43 is still a subject to change, though. Minor ajustments are possible.

Sorry, the mod is broken right now. The recoil of STG is ridiculous because it's now considered to be a rifle, and the recoil for it is x3.0 . I've fixed this, but then I noticed that recoil for MG42 is now also applies to Thompson, which is absolutely broken. On top of that, the 250rnd belts disappeared from the arsenal.

I'll have to look more thoroughly at all that and fix everything that was broken due to IFA3 mod updates

Are you talking about MG42? Because this is only one weapon that could be called as "buffed", other weapons were more like "nerfed" due to increased recoil.

dude weapons are very controllable if you have experience, i think they should be slightly upped but not this much.
