UPDATE 8 / SE 1.193+
-------------------------------------------------
a) Updated the code to the new version

Nothing much really just made it work for the latest version of the game.
Everything should work correctly. I've spawned this without issues ( pink textures, etc. )
Voss 23 aug. 2019 la 11:01
This is still amazing
thnx for keeping this up-to-date :D

UPDATE 6 / SE 1.188+
-------------------------------------------------
a) Updated the code to the new version.
Sutixela 18 mart. 2017 la 5:17
Keen should hire you for planet design. Please continue making planets
SMU  [autor] 29 ian. 2017 la 17:59
Ok I tried my best to make it looks as good as before, but since the light scattering has changed, it was impossible to recreate the former. I will try to improve upon it, meanwhile you can use the planet again.
SMU  [autor] 29 ian. 2017 la 17:55

SMU  [autor] 15 oct. 2016 la 9:02
Hi there Alos, sorry I did not see your message.
It shouldn't show them trails. Nevertheless I can't say for certain that it is related to your computer's performance. Actually this is not an performance intensive planet, I made it Server ready.
Either way, I will be looking at this, since I need to update all of my planets to make use of the systems available with the 1.53 Stable Branch.

I'll let you know how it went! And thanks for the feedback.

Cheers!
alos 4 sept. 2016 la 13:03
The dark side of the planet is buggy, showing two trails of sunlight. It looks really cool, but I'm just wondering if its related to my computer's performance and whether or not it should be doing this.
SMU  [autor] 29 iul. 2016 la 7:35
So I've decided to take this directly to its final version. Now it is Server Ready. Should run pretty smooth. Change note for details.
SMU  [autor] 23 iul. 2016 la 13:12
Yes I've had this issue before, I will look into it. Thanks
scimuse 22 iul. 2016 la 22:40
hello, not sure if this is a bug or a feature but the ground shimmers. kind of like the geometry is constantly being redrawn so it appears to shift. also there is a rift where the edges of the map meet. kinda like the edges of the bump map weren't tiled or something. other than that this is a challenging and very cool planet. thanks for sharing your work!
SMU  [autor] 12 apr. 2016 la 5:55
@MrEvan312
Yes I could but first I want to release some other stuff first. After that I'll accept custom requests.
Keep in mind I've annotated yours and other people requests. They'll be coming, just not right now.
Take care, cheers!
MrEvan312 11 apr. 2016 la 21:30
Dear SMU: Could you possibly do a "destroyed" or partially destroyed planet, like Harvest or Reach from the Halo series? A foggy atmo, lots of shallow rifts, magma, dust, shrunken lakes, etc.
SMU  [autor] 8 apr. 2016 la 17:06
UPDATE 2 is here:
a) Fixed the sand with small stones texture to re-size more realistic, while moving closer or farther.
b) Improved the ore deposits. Now there are deeper veins and deposits for all ores. Also the huge deposits now have more depth to them ( 25 - 99m )
c) Added high wind sound for higher areas.
d) Darkened the deposit markers. Now they are not sooo obvious.
BronzeBelly 18 mart. 2016 la 13:21
@Cheetah - My build is from 2012, barely able to support regular native resolution. So just try lowering the resolution. It will drastically improve fps. But it does sacrifice quality. Just give it a try in a singleplayer world and see which resolution is better for you.
SMU  [autor] 18 mart. 2016 la 6:16
Cheetah by the way what hardware specs you got on your side?
The updated planets have been revised in order to improve performance. Let me know if you are still having issues.
SMU  [autor] 15 mart. 2016 la 19:55
UPDATE IS HERE, CHECK THE CHANGE NOTES SECTION FOR DETAILS
Cheetah 11 mart. 2016 la 22:17
No, but I shall try.
Btw, I believe that most of lag is because of atmosphere. A 19 km Mars is 12-14 FPS, while 25 km Moon is comfortable 25-30 FPS. By default, my FPS in empty space or with small ships is around 40 FPS.
michel.robichaud 11 mart. 2016 la 11:58
@Cheetah Have you tried lowering the render distance? It seems like a very effective method on my part.
Cheetah 11 mart. 2016 la 0:34
Oh, those dawns and sunsets... I'd love that planet if it wasn't so barren and if it wasn't 7 FPS on my PC.

Can you make a small 'ice paradise'-style planet, please?
SMU  [autor] 3 mart. 2016 la 6:01
Thanks Jasper, glad you like it.
Jasper Stevens 3 mart. 2016 la 4:41
Perfect, thank you so much! :wizard:
The planet is beautiful!
SMU  [autor] 2 mart. 2016 la 15:43
Hi, this is not very clear, I myself had to ask this question a while back.
So before you start with your world, click on the mods button and load the planet into the list. Now when you start your game, you should have the planet available from the dropdown menu. Cheers!
Jasper Stevens 2 mart. 2016 la 11:17
When I open my planet spawn menu, I only see default planets. I've subscribed to this mod, is there something I have missed?

UPDATE COMING SOON, STAY TUNED!
Silent Hawk 28 febr. 2016 la 13:01

Silent Hawk 28 febr. 2016 la 13:01
and remember, this is for the ACTUALL sun, so it doesn't have to have a ground just a VERY thick atmosphere. so that it looks like a sun
SMU  [autor] 28 febr. 2016 la 4:11
Hi Rockwell, great to hear you are making such a map. I'll be making a lot more planets, so I'm sure you'll find a planet that fits your visual needs. I'll be releasing some this upcoming week so stay tuned.
Silent Hawk 27 febr. 2016 la 19:49
hey um, would u perhaps remake this and make it like a sunish color, im making a massive solar system map, with different solar systems, nsuch, :):steamhappy:
Rhedd 27 febr. 2016 la 18:02
It's blue. ^_^

looks kinda like the first planets that were on github
SMU  [autor] 25 febr. 2016 la 14:14
Hi, it's not an ocean planet, it just look like one from far away. When you get close enough, you'll se that it is a rocky planet with some steep formations.
Retro Shibineer 25 febr. 2016 la 13:45
is it an ocean planet like it has ocean on it or am i going to hit rock instead of water no affence if taken
SMU  [autor] 25 febr. 2016 la 3:16
Thanks Sebastard!
There will be definetly more planets coming, so stay tuned.
Ludwichs 25 febr. 2016 la 2:44
Great Work, keep them coming!:steamhappy:
SMU  [autor] 24 febr. 2016 la 18:43
BTW, you can manually change it, in the PlanetGeneratorDefinitions.sbc file, to your liking.
