Hello! Great pack, but i darth vader(spark) cant be selected on a spark unit at all, only as a normal soldier!

@larrys1998: Can you explain how it is not working? Does it appear in the voice menu but is silent? I do not own the expansion so I don't know how I can test this

Hi Collin, there does seem to be an issue with voice pack volume for Mac/Linux users so if that's you that may well be the cause.

Unfortunately since putting these mods out I've had "it's too quiet" and "it's too loud" and in the end I had to accept I couldn't please everyone. My sound files have been normalised with the audio files that shipped with the game, so they should all be the same volume.

The best bet for you would be to head over to the Nexus mods page for the mod where older versions can be downloaded. Someone with the same problem as you found success in downloading older builds of the mod:

Hey I really like the content of this voicepack and your others but it doesn't sound like this one is the appropriate volume. It's noticeable louder than the default voices. Is there any way for me to fix that on my own or would it require work on your end?

- Voice Pack now compatible with SPARKs units
- Made some changes to the voice banks (Psi characters should now have many more quotes, etc)

@tdc733 this is a great mod, I enjoyed this very much with my ranger vader. Nightfall29 is extremely emo and takes either this game or Star Wars way too seriously. People should never vote down a mod simply because they don't like the concept; they should vote it up or down based on whether it works as intended and the quality of the mod. Thumbs up!

I thought it would be fun, you forget sir that games are made for all to enjoy. Including those who like to screw about and dress their snipers in bright pink.

X-Com isn't a joke game though. If you want to play something silly, there are games for that. I just can't understand why a single person would want to mod darth vader's voice into X-Com. It just makes no sense.

@Nightfall29: I'm not really sure what is "inappropriate" about it. It's a completely optional mod to bring a much loved character to the game. It's some light hearted fun. It's not supposed to be a super serious addition to the game. If you don't like it then that's absolutely fine, but the likelihood is it wasn't made for someone like yourself that maybe takes the game a little bit too seriously.

@EvilNecroid: Ah ok, one of my mates has watched it so I'll ask them! 100+ is definitely what I aim for. This Darth Vader mod is my smallest mod I think and this has just over 100 quotes. So if I could find about the same amount for the Emperor then I could do it!

@EvilNecroid: I'm not sure about them editing in Ian to replace the other guy, I will have to check! I actually managed to find the voice files for Force Unleashed online and there weren't many Emperor lines but I could probably use them. I would need more though, even with those and the films that may not be enough. I will dig through the BF2 files and see if I can find any Emperor voices in there. I have only played a tiny bit of Empire of War so I'm not sure. I will check! He was definitely in Galactic Batlegrounds but I don't think he has many lines and the quality may not be great with it being such an old game. I think he appears in the Clone Wars TV series too? Haven't seen it but that's what I've heard.

And I may be doing a droid voice pack ;P

there was those few times when he popped up as a holgram tho in his evil mode hehe.
also i thought his small appearence in episode 4 was redone to edit ian in replacing the other guy? his lines were few but might still be good.
and as for the games ive only played through the 1st force unleashed and he wasnt in it much but he was there and as for the 2nd game i have no idea but also i could of sworn he was in BF 2

and wasnt he in empire at war?
or possibly that old galactic battlegrounds game.

@EvilNecroid: He was in 6 films? I only count 4 (Empire doesn't really count as he only has a few lines and it is a different actor). Of course there's only really one film where he is the Emperor (RotJ), the prequel trilogy he has a very different personality so I'm not sure how well quotes from those films would work.

So far with all my mods I've tried to only use the original/official sources. So for example, I've only used lines spoken by James Earl Jones for my Darth Vader mod. I suppose I could use other sources for the Emperor like the video games you mentioned. Unfortunately I don't own The Force Unleashed (does he appear in both?) and I'm not sure which Battlefront he was in? I own the second BF.

@EvilNecroid: I really wanted to do an Emperor mod but I just don't think he has enough lines. You need a lot of different quotes for these mods to work unfortunately. It's a real shame, as he's my favourite character in Star Wars

Just curious if you guys wanted a "radio effect" version of the voice for this mod? I've been adding this to all my other mods, however for Darth Vader I didn't really think it was necessary as his voice is distorted anyway. Let me know!
