Oo :( I see your problem here. Well the only thing you can probably do is use a map theme that has snow in it, and use the Extral Landscaping Tools mod to paint the snow on the ground. Take a look at this theme so you can see what I mean. http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=709145204&searchtext=snow The snow is painted on top of the mountains with the Oil resource in this case. Many others use sand as the snow resource. It won't look great, but by the way Snowfall is 50% off, which means it's really cheap

Okay, BarryBensonPL, then I'll give you the non-snowfall way to have this map work. You will turn off or remove the terrain themes mod, and then use one of the Map Themes that someone has created to give those without snowfall a snowy landscape. Lemme go see if I can find one

Thanks best phantom! I'll be converting a copy of this into a Snowfall edition after I get Snowfall tomorrow. I will still leave this version (which uses the TPB created version of the terrain themes) for you all to have. Just being sure you know this one is not a Snowfall version map. :)

MrMiyagi, I wanted to say thanks so much for these maps you do and I'm so glad you can update them for snowfall!

Hi Ruthless, this map required a pair of custom mods to be activated. With the Snowfall DLC, which comes out in only two days, you will have snowy maps and snowy buildings that will not require any extra mods. I will be converting this map and a few other maps into the Snowfall system and will publish them as fast as I can. Most likely the first day, which is supposed to be on the 18th (not long to wait!). There will be a ton of snow for you to choose from :)

What an amazing map!!! it's so beautiful and peaceful, I can focus on doing all the industry about forest and make all my commercial areas to be about tourism, european style also worked perfectly with this map. 10/10, great job!!!

Hi Frostomondo, there could be many reasons, but if it is just this map causing the issue, the map might be challenging to an older system or one that is on the lower end of specs to play CS vanilla because it has a large number of trees. You can try reducing the graphics as one idea. The other would be for me to recommend you another snowy map that doesn't have this many trees. As a test, can you try opening this map? :) Glad you found the solution Tazingu!. Yes, the Arctic / Ski terrain pack of .png images is listed as a separate mod in the game's menu, even though it is really a part of the Terrain Themes Mod. The cool thing about that is that you can activate or deactivate any terrain pack you wish while playing, for optimal experience! TPB did amazing work on that mod system!

Yup, I never like to leave out something like shipping. For me this map is supposed to be a display sort of map, rather than a giant city, so giant cargo ships and cruise ships really seemed odd, especially in the middle of the Rockies :D. Sort of like a model train set or a Christmas village diorama. I had no idea it would become this popular O.O I'm curious to see if missing shipping will make any problems for bigger cities.
Idea: 64998176, you can open this map in map editor, it is released so you can do so. Now looking at the 3rd picture above, go to the river that empties out to the right, and widen that river up to where you like. The water flows out that side and not the wider side. Hit unpause, let it run for a bit, then run a shipping line from the edge to as far up the river as you can go.
