Most likely you are talking about UDK, only there you can export to FBX and the model will be just in the place where on the map. Umodel exports the model always in the center. Don't confuse Umodel and UDK are two different programs.

Oh intresting you used umodel for the models too, i right click on them and export as FBX, this has the side effect of the models origin being where it was on the map, good tips. thank you

how much it took - I don't remember, it was 5 years ago
umodel cannot export to fbx, only to psk / pskx / psa, that's exactly what I did, each model separately, none of my ports, be it gta v or some other interior, were not done "quickly", for example, to work it took me almost 2 years with the yacht.

how long did this take? i wanna try my hand at porting a UDK 3 map but its really really annoying doing it, i have to export every model as FBX, and the materials with UModel. did you find a better way?
