In my Opinion this is one of the best maps, with one Problem - the train connection.
I would suggest that you put another train connection in the map since I've got many train stations and they struggle to get out of the city. However they can get into the city without any problems, but as I said they struggle to get out. I've got a screenshot as an example:

Zakerias, In about 5-10 days I will be getting Cities: Skylines. So far this is #3 on my top 3 maps, #2 being Ambrose Island. As a request, can you make a map that is an archapelago like this but with multiple smaller islands that would be able to support villages of around 500? Like Teyland, I like the 2 main islands, but I kinda wish that there were more islands.
Thx!

@Zakerias
It's a part of THIS CONTEST - I also have a bunch of creenshots in my profile from this exact map. Again - thanks! You make CSL a better "place" to waste my time. :D

Amazing job - Your maps keep me playing CSL :)

@fightbiscuit, I'm working on a map that has a huge flat space in the centre and lots of water. Should be up today or tomorrow!
FightBiscuit 3/nov./2015 às 6:21
Hi Zakerias,
can you build a map with the style of your other maps but with flat terrain for the city ? this would make the placing of the canal blocks possible
PS: Teyland 170k pop :)

@baronjutter, I was working on a Haarlem map a while ago, but then I decided that doing real-world map was too much work. However, I might still finish it if I have the time, since I do like the region. No promises though! :)
baronjutter 29/out./2015 às 16:40
Love your maps. Any chance to do Haarlem area?
DownSyndrome 28/out./2015 às 18:36

the polder is just brilliant!
SnakesRaven 27/out./2015 às 2:46
This looks so great it's almost a shame to place buildings and roads on it. And I LOVE the idea of polders, brilliant. As we say in Belgium: made by "nen echten Hollander" :)
Great job man

@974gamer, That's true, but you when you start a vanilla game you don't have access to port/harbor and you wouldn't be able to unlock them, since your population would remain zero.

I like making maps that work properly in a vanilla game, despite that almost everybody uses mods.

@Zakerias, there is a guy by the name of Kimchi here in the workshop, who has many island maps without road connections. I dont know how he does it, either. But look his maps up. I tried doing it and failed. I played one of his maps succesfully, people start appearing when you place an airport or harbor.

@974gamer, Unfortunately every map needs at least one road connection. If it doesn't have one there won't be any citizens. People need to be able to actually drive to their new home. Sometimes this realism gets in the way, because I would love to make a true island map.
DR 26/out./2015 às 2:55
Another awesome map of yours. Would it be possible to make an island map one time that does not have any road connections, for more challenge? Anyways, keep up the awesome work, love your maps, as they are perfect to fuill with small european countryside villages! :)
Zakerias  [autor(a)] 25/out./2015 às 15:47
@baronjutter, not really but it is a bit more likely to have traffic jams when you reach a certain number of citizens. The map isn't really intended for making a massive city, but the single highway can easily serve a population up to 40k. As for import/export, much of it can be solved with a decent port and transport hub.
baronjutter 25/out./2015 às 15:11
Does having only 1 land connection present any problems with imports/exports?

Here's what I've down with the Mountain Lake. I'm calling this little town Lakewood (I know, not very creative....).

Thanks! That was exactly my intention :) I personally like the little area at the mountain lake, which has just enough room to build a village with basic utilities.

Okay, so my thoughts on "Great Flutland"...
Great Flutland is another fantastic map by Zakerias. While the map has an area for both a cargo port and cruise ship port, this should not be taken to mean that Flutland is a major port city. This map feels like it was designed for some nice quiet suburbs and scattered farmland. Rolling hills and smooth sandy beaches await those families who move to Great Flutland. Its rail system is smooth and mostly flat, and runs along shores where minor arterials would run along side it, which gives it the right feel for a residential commuter rail line taking cims off the map and into the larger metropolitan hubs. This is a great map for when you don't want a metropolis, but rather, some peace and quiet.
