@Xeron I think it would be more efficient if you ask the uploader of that garage to upload an asset-version. That's almost no work at all, whereas I would have to make an all-new garage, basically.

Can you share how you baked the texture?

It worked :D It looks nicer when you zoom out now, although it still disappears at a certain distance... as do all other props in my game. So I think that's just how props work.

@boformer Aha, it turns out you CAN bake diffuse textures from high-poly to low-poly (cause I just did it). I'm working on an update!

@boformer When testing my custom LOD, it looked partly pink/purple. That was a no-go, I thought. Now - without (custom) LOD - the prop does disappear when you zoom out far enough, yes. (That is still less jarring than the purple version, though, haha.) I'll see what I can do with creating LOD texture maps. I wish you could bake diffuse from high-poly to low-poly :/

3 things:

If you don't create a custom LOD, the game will not generate one for you. It will use the detailed model for all detail levels.

Another problem I expect is that the prop will disappear when you zoom out to far. This one is large, so players will notice it. Did you test that?
