@d: Sorry, there isn't.

At the time, I was trying to make one all inclusive mod that had all the changes I felt the game needed. In hindsight I probably should have made them separate mods, but at this point, it's not likely to ever happen.

The other changes have a pretty minimal impact on the game, though. You may not even notice them, aside from the Respec change, which shouldn't interfere with, for example, a Respec Potion mod, if you prefer that.

Is there a simplified version? I just want this map and no other features.
Allerdyne 28. Dez. 2023 um 6:16
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I ran into the Netherlord the other day. Pretty cool.
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 24. Dez. 2023 um 5:22
@Allerdyne: I started with the bosses that could already be found in Mapworks dungeons, and then added others from throughout the game. To be honest, I don't remember which parts of the game they all came from. They were just bosses that I thought were cool, and fit in with the levels I had created. Like the original game's Mapworks bosses, they are a kind of generic version, with a different name and loot table, possibly some different abilities.
Allerdyne 20. Dez. 2023 um 20:46
The description mentions 20 different bosses. Can someone give me an idea of which ones? Any of the bosses found at the end of each act?

Almost essential mod for endgame purposes. Should you ever get back to enhancing this gem (and I hope you do), maybe add even more dungeons for additional diversity. If outdoor areas are out of the question, maybe some of the more exotic dungons from the original campaign can be considered. Examples: Lost Okwari Caves, Wellspring Treasury, Ice Labs. Players don't get to see these so often during regular playthroughs, so adding those might feel like new content to some degree. Anyway, great job!
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 19. Jul. 2023 um 5:40
@MoraedoN: It should be. The one that is higher in mod list will take precedence.
MoraedoN 13. Jul. 2023 um 7:35
is this compatible with ACE? coz this mod and ACE have same tweaking feature for VIT stats
lo0mid> 3. Jul. 2023 um 7:32
The map brings out the full Torchlight gaming experience.Thank you!!
Krythan 22. Jun. 2022 um 11:12
Thank you!

Abysm does a great job adding additional end-game content while staying true to the gameplay and balance of the vanilla game!

The level 125+ Abysm dungeon, with increased monster density, does wonders providing fun and challenging content for a max-level and well geared character!
Psixi 27. Mai 2021 um 6:34
Which of the files inside do I delete, so I just have the Abysm dungeon feature without breaking anything in the mod when I compile it myself?
Gerardcha 5. Mai 2020 um 4:46
I would absolute LOVE this mod if it were just a bunch of cool new mapworks maps, but i don't download it because i don't want the imposition of respec changes (i want other respec mod) and stat changes
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 28. Jan. 2019 um 23:03
@TheDirtyPony333: Extra Chunky v5 is included in this mod, yes.
TheDirtyPony 25. Jan. 2019 um 20:50
Quick question: In your description for EXTRA CHUNKY (v5) by Abe...do you mean that you included his mod in your mod or did you just include the reference to his mod in your description. Dont want to install a duplicate. Can't wait to try this out! Thx.
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 3. Nov. 2018 um 22:46
@Haknslash: Sure. Go for it.
Rane 3. Nov. 2018 um 13:27
I hope its ok to include this in my modpacks,if not please let me know
Not Thunberg 26. Nov. 2017 um 10:53
Is this mod compatible with SynergiesMOD?
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 17. Okt. 2017 um 12:44
@Geodripp: I have adjusted both the zoom distance and active distance (of monsters) in interior areas to match that of exteriors. I haven't changed the values to anything that wasn't already elsewhere in the game. Interior zones just look and behave more like the exteriors now. No, there is no separate version of the mod, sorry.
Geodripp 13. Okt. 2017 um 23:14
Won't this increased view distance break the AI? Will monsters outside of the default view range aggro correctly when being attacked from outside default zoom? Do you have an Abysm only mod that doesn't include the zoom?
steffire3 17. Jul. 2017 um 11:55
@LarvaLounge and everyone else:
I can report that this mod is actually the most compatible map mod in the entire Steam Workshop-

-I have never had problems with it regardless of other mod choices loaded.

My congrats to you for that @LarvaLounge!
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 16. Jul. 2017 um 15:39
@bratr... (etc): I don't know. Torchlight 2 Essentials includes a lot of different mods, and I haven't tested this with most of them. I don't see any obvious conflicts, but Toy Collector changes the Mapworks in ways I haven't investigated. They will probably work together fine, unless that mod causes the Mapworks Map Seller to not sell the Abysm Map.
bratrstvoNODKane 15. Jul. 2017 um 2:19
Does it works with Essentials mod?
Gulp DragonDawn 9. Mrz. 2017 um 9:35
can u make an alternate version that doen't touch the view distance and doesn't have built in respec? or you can tell me how to override those with other mods while keeping the rest of abysm intact?
steffire3 17. Nov. 2016 um 12:14

@LarvaLounge:

Forgive our timing in fixing and updating certain information.

We also thank you for helping us to improve our descriptions to be accurate on our use and view of your mod respectfully.
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 4. Nov. 2016 um 10:00
Yeah, that's not part of my mod. Sorry.
Gulp DragonDawn 4. Nov. 2016 um 6:35
thanks steffire, that's what I mean. It allows skipping the entire game!
steffire3 3. Nov. 2016 um 21:43
He is confusing the map seller in the mapworks with the one added by the toy collector mod that adds the buyable map found in the Estherian Enclave to access the mapworks.
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 2. Nov. 2016 um 22:14
Compass the Map Seller NPC is part of the Vanilla Game.
Gulp DragonDawn 2. Nov. 2016 um 8:05
sorry I meant the mapworks map seller
Gulp DragonDawn 2. Nov. 2016 um 8:05
oh!
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 2. Nov. 2016 um 2:17
@danielmratliff21: Toy Collector NPC is not part of my mod.
Gulp DragonDawn 27. Okt. 2016 um 16:37
I'm trying to remove the NPC "Toy Collector" for me and steffire3's mod, but cant find the corresponding files. Can u tell me what I need to delete to remove him from gameplay (some leftover scripts and files are okay as long as he doesn't show up ingame)?"
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 6. Aug. 2016 um 22:57
@Deathscythe: Last I checked, one thing that will happen loading Abysm at the top of the list is that your characters will have lower armor and health.

Both mods increase Armor and Health gained from Vitality, but Synergies increases it more than Abysm does. Giving Abysm priority means you'll get the lesser version of those values. I don't know if that matters to you, but I thought I'd point it out. I'm assuming the values used in Synergies are 'well balanced' for Synergies gameplay. It probably doesn't make a ton of difference, either way.

There may be other changes I am not aware of, which is why I suggest giving Synergies priority over Abysm.

Thanks for the feedback.
Stabby Spear 6. Aug. 2016 um 13:27
The mod order doesn't really matter for me. I put ABYSM on the very first place and Synergies at the bottom. Work just fine.
Sanaki 29. Apr. 2016 um 18:58
Yeah, Abysm works just fine in multiplayer. I play it with my girlfriend on occasion. Fantastic mod, by the way. Generally the only map I ever play anymore.
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 5. Feb. 2016 um 3:04
@*Yuki*: To be honest, I'm not sure. I don't see why not, but I've never actually done it.

None of my friends are into TL2, and I've never been able to join (or usually, even FIND) games online that are running my mod, even though the browser says they exist.

If you get it working in multiplayer, I'd love to hear about it.
*Yuki* 4. Feb. 2016 um 7:16
is it playable in multiplayer? (awesome in single btw)
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 16. Jan. 2016 um 20:10
@Dave Waz: This mod doesn't change anything about how HC characters work. Yes, death is permanent, just like in un-modded TL2.
MoonWolf 16. Jan. 2016 um 9:36
How does this mod interact with a hardcore character? Since its a endless dungeon when you eventually die is it permenant?
Xalaram 30. Okt. 2015 um 5:35
This mod is very satisfying, the higher mob density in the Abysm is awesome! Thanks!!
Agitatio 29. Sep. 2015 um 10:33
You're right, it doesn't affect tilesets in the Abysm dungeon. But it goes really well with Extra Chunky. And both of this mods are made by Runic employees, so they are kinda essential. At least in my opinion.
LarvaLounge  [Autor] 28. Sep. 2015 um 19:39
@Grigori: When I added Extra Chunky, I also wanted to include Blank's Landmarks. However, reading through the comments on the Landmarks page led me to believe that Blank was less open to Landmarks being incorporated into other mods. It's a grey area, Abysm isn't really a 'mod-pack', though it's like a mod pack in some respects. I may ask his permission, yet.
Also, unlike Extra Chunky, I don't think Blank's Landmarks affects any of the tilesets used in the Abysm dungeon.
Agitatio 28. Sep. 2015 um 15:11
How about adding Blanks Landmarks to Abysm, just like you did with Extra Chunky?
