That is a weird problem, I've gotten intermittent reports of it occurring. I'm going to push an update tonight when I have access to my home computer that should fix it. Thanks for the feedback.

Theliah, I seem to have a problem with both, the Dragon and Titan pet. I am unable to place any items into the pet's inventory. Any idea what's the problem?

The mod is required, since technically there is no Vyrax monster in the game that's compatible as a pet. Sorry, dude.

Anyway for me to stop using this mod? I have fed my pet a fish to permanentyl turn him into a spider so technically, this mod is not required. Yet when I try to start the game without it, it says it is a required mod and I need to download it. Ideas?

@Theliah If this mod was considered cheating that would mean all the other mods would be called cheating.

Personally, I like to combine mods like this one with mods that greatly increase the difficulty in order to try the game with a new mechanic or twist...that can be fun for an older game you've already beaten a bunch of time.

Who the hell cares, its a fun mod.

Even if does it does classify as cheating, nobody says you HAVE to download this mod. If you WANT to, you can, it doesn't come pre-installed, you aren't forced to use it, its there if you want to, whether it's cheating or not, just like 10x Exp mods, or 10x Gold mods, or whatever else that may or may not be cheating, its all down to personal taste. Some people like to kill the game by make it trivial, some don't, leave that decision down to them.

Guys why does it matter if it's considered cheating? It's just a mod for fun.

Like Tyger42 said, a mod that altars gameplay in favor of the player is cheating. Mods that increase loot drop / gold drop / exp is cheating. Increasing difficulty and areas with a mod is not cheating.

Its not cheating, its a freakin mod.

just so you are aware, after I used the mod to change my pet into Vyrax, he now spawns my original pet when he attacks things. lol not a huge deal but I thought you would love to know. I now have Vyrax and a lot of gargoyles running around.

Once i initiate the mod , my pet no longer carries my items. The collars and tags originally equipped to the pet were gone too. Had to disable the mod before I can continue the game. Pity. The mod does seems promising , hope a patch comes in.

Yes, because a mod that trivializes the game totally isn't cheating because you managed to do it without tripping the cheater flag.......

I'd say the only one really getting cheated is the player not being able to kill as quickly as this monster. Well done, all the same.

I wouldn't call it cheating. It certainly doesn't flag your character as a cheater.

Is it cheating? Maybe. But it also IS optional.
