Update pls, this mod is amazing

This doesn't work all that well, certain mods clash with this one, it needs to be updated! I recommend Play it tho! FYI Cities Skylines Community, Put in the comments to say IF it still works, and make sure to tell creators to update when not! Keep Cities Skylines 1 great!

Works as described for me :), I have real time, tmpe, like 40 mods. Lowering the speed does reduce cpu load on my machine. I really WISH there was a default speed that could be set on load! *edit: I suspect the mod lumia is interferring, I'll do some more testing

Best mod ever! I like to set at game speed 1 at 60% and it looks like real life!!

People, use yao's suggestions carefully. This mod (and others) work fine for some people. It all depends on your combination of DLC's. For example; Financial Districts has broken a lot of mods for some people but not all, Airports DLC did the same. Etc. You have to be a bit of a mad scientist with this game to find what works for you.

Use Play it! instead

I just subbed to this and it 100% works. It's a little weird playing the game when everything including camera movements is slowed down. But my fps when from about 10-15 up to about 30-35 while using it around 40-45%.
That number jumps up even mover when using the Dynamic Resolution (Fixed for 1.9!) mod... Just dropping the resolution about 10% adds anywhere from 15-30 more fps easily. Doesn't look the best but my game runs better. It might not be as fun to play but the simulation works better.

Guys, it still works just fine after Plazas DLC. Sure would be nice an update or an assurance by Rojoss, but any error reported below is probably related to another mod. For me, it is not depreceated.

I have removed Speed Slider from the Airports DLC Compatible modlist, since its functions are included and working fine in Play it! You can find Speed Slider in the list of other compatible mods.

How does this make your game run faster? I’m confused?

@sins_gaymer I have also tried Game Speed mod, but it just slowed down my game and the game had strange behavior. It should be incompatible with Lifecycle Rebalance Revisited mod since they do mostly the same.

Below 50k citizen instances even on 81 tiles, the base game is pretty quick, but I use more than 170 mods so sometimes it shutters. To have a smooth FPS, I push back Speed Slider to 50% and let the game run on the third (highest) speed. I never had a problem with the load/save. I recommend to check the compatibility of your other mods.

I have a problem with the speed. I once set 55% and now I'm stuck at that speed at every launch. My friend is using the mod too and he have the same problem but he is stuck at 110%. We have to set the speed back to 100% but then it don't want to save.

We both removed the mod setting file in appdata and we deleted the 406354745 folder in
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\255710 but no luck. The set speed in permanent no matter what I do. All of this was done after unsubscribing the mod.

@Rojoss. Would be handy. When I load my game I always wonder why the traffic is rushing around like madmen, and then I remember I haven't yet set speed slider. Very stressfull :).

Also not sure about the settings not saving, maybe they changed some API's, haven't really touched this for ages. But if it's an issue for a lot of people I can probably have a look at it.

One more remark, Rojobb, there is no Slow Speed mod, mentioned lastly in the description.

@logor I have same problem, the slider setting is not being saved. In my case it has never been saved since I installed it. Otherwise great mod!

After I installed the mod the value was saved correctly and when I loaded game it was correct. However, after some time I noticed that it stopped working and now every time I load game slider stays at 100%. I tried everything I was able to think of - firstly de-activate, unsub and sub again - it didn't help. Then I searched for all files with "SpeedSlider" in name both in steam installation folder and %localapps% - here I've found SpeedSlider.cgs. Then I tried de-activate, unsub and then delete this file. After new subscription mod setting resetted, but slider was on modified position (where I've put it before - this setting didn't reset) and, sadly, slider value still isn't saving :( Would be grateful if you will advice what can be the reason of this behavior and how can I repair it.

@bird It will if your PC can handle it, if the game can't keep up the game won't be able to update as frequently. If you set it to the max it will basically just run as fast as possible. (It's also mentioned in the FAQ) ;)

outstanding! this is the perfect complement to the first person camera mod because it permits you to overcome the default break-neck vehicle speed. excellent, exactly what i was looking for. thank you so much sir for great work!

@Bird [G.E.W.H] -- My suggestion is to make a separate savegame, exit to the desktop, subscribe to this mod and see how it works and if it meets your needs.

I got this mod cuz the default speed thing was too slow for me, does this make the game any faster than if the default speed thing was on max? Thanks
