can you also make craftable normal beehives so I can have a renewable bee source, and becuase I don't like to travel far from my base

I like this idea about crafting a killer bee hive. i havent tried it yet but if those killer bees insta attack you while planting the hive, set a background timer of ~5 seconds until this hive gets "activated" and killer bees "may" fly, if possible.

So they will attack you as soon as you craft the beehive?

Yeah, they are no different than regular killer beehives.
