Honest to goodness it was so much fun seeing all of the different creatures, how they interacted with eachother, and figuring out how to beat them. They're very very inspired in the way that they're design.
The trinkets that were dropped by the end of it all also really changed the way I played the game, its fun to see so much creativity on display! I'll also note that the last boss was SO MUCH FUN !!
My only complaint is that I can't do this multiple times in a single playthrough - not to grind it but because I just enjoyed my experience so much. But, if anything, that just means I get to be excited for my next Darkest Dungeon playthrough !
And I mean that in that in the good way
Sadly, when I got the event, my only level 6 heroes were a vestal, crusader, maa and leper. And then I got to the permanent shuffle. "Uh oh". Focused the beast master. By the third death I realized "maybe I should attack the beast" and only then was my leper shuffle kicking in the way it should have. Reynauld ended up dying, my leper was 190 stress, maa on 170 and vestal on 140. I had to alt f4 to prevent a complete heart attack party wipe. And as I retreated, my maa died as well.
"Oh hey it's a circus, I probably should go with a dancing team comp" so thats on me. The boss could be of reasonable difficulty, I wouldn't be able to tell since it countered my team comp. Though, since I still had fun, it's a testament that the mod IS well made, I'd just suggest some sort of clue to bring a dancing team or one that doesn't mind being out of position.
Really good mod my firendo, i loved enemys designs, u r very talented
My only real feedback is that it could be a bit clearer that attacking the beast tamer does nothing. I wiped him out twice figuring it was multi-stage before realizing I had to beat up the giant animal and it wasn't just a meat shield.
When you say “doesn’t leave”, do you mean that the quest stays around or that the town event can repeat?
That is part of the fun, learning something new.
(Ngl I should probably reduce all enemy hp pools since they’re a bit high, that being said he’s probably the only one I’ll be leaving since that’s the point of him.)
That being said I might change how some of his abilities work to make them more counterable. Namely the mark-nuke and the way he handles death…
Awesome mod, 10/10 would do again
