you know the character is great when theres a video of W gameplay in the videos/pictures

was unsure with the sprites but this is a really fun mega man, the special weapons approach gives it a ton of character and makes it feel like a rivals crossover specifically, instead of just another smash moveset. great stuff

This is really well made but Ustrong and Dstrong are really silly.

Small suggestion, make the downsmash have the Mett come from below Megaman and attack both sides, causing megaman to spin/rotate like he does on elevators and such

Kickass character. Megaman's gameplay is kinda like Elliana's, where you have to creatively think of how to set up a kill, and I love that. I do have a few nitpicks though:
* Dtilt can't be canceled on the sourspot, which feels kinda unforgiving and clunky. Also kinda weird how Dtilt has a sourspot to begin with.
* The cost of certain moves feels questionable, like how K. Rock is very powerful, yet costs the same as the spark of Absa cloud.
* Dair has a tiny spike hitbox at the start of the move, which, why even have it at that point? The only thing I could possibly do with it is set up a tech chase and combo into Utilt, but that's about it.
* Dspecial is entirely luck based. I'll have to talk about this in the balance discussion, or I won't be able to fit it.

i do enjoy this character but the mechanic to switch between weapons does feel a bit slow. maybe you could switch down special and N special but it might just be me.

I love this Megaman, he has an interesting and pretty cool twist in his power gear, although I find the order of the special attacks strange, as if nspecial, dspecial and fspecial were rotated, other than that I love it, it fits perfectly with the style of RoA

the jab and neutral air being the pellets is annoying fun love saying "pew pew pew" while hitting my buddys and going into a powershot its mega pog mega fun def keeping this in my list

The idea of Mega Man using special weapons based on the base cast is absolutely genius, and balanced well with the fact that you've somehow avoided using any special weapons from Mega Man proper for the rest of his moveset which blows my dang mind. Major kudos!

My biggest issue with this character is in the colour palette — there's so little contrast between the shades of his sprite that he doesn't really feel like he fits in artistically with the base cast if you ask me. Even if stylistic consistency wasn't an issue, generally when it comes to pixel art, if you need to zoom in like 6x to even detect the highlights, they may as well not even be there. It leaves him looking kind of flat, IMO.

That being said, that definitely doesn't take away from how much fun I'm gonna have with this guy. Excellent job all around!

This is such a fun edition of Mega Man in Rivals and I am in love with the concept of the weapons being specials of other characters in the base cast. The sprites are fun and well made eye candy and he feels genuinely fun to play even though I'm still labbing him to get used to his movement.

Great creation! I should've expected high quality from someone who also worked on The Gatekeeper.

Yeah, the sprites are pretty based.

the sprite work is kick ass, reflects the og mega man sprites but are taller and fit rivals more, but it doesnt look all freaky like he was stretched or flattened out. seriously cool work

Also awesome mod you got here. I'm a Mega Man and I plan to check this out soon.
