For me, it moves the zoom out button to the left bar, like in the first screenshot, but then the button disappears if you zoom to a specific planet a second time.

i've been strugling with that one for quite some time as well, i wonder if its some of the original patches from the mod

There is one problem though. It is worth expanding the navigation window vertically, as some orbits end up outside the window.

most likely a conflict with another mod that is also changing the starmap, check your mods for another one that is also changing the starmap and try removing it
