why is the map's skybox not space anymore?

It appears that it would be on dev branch, and prerelease when the next patch is ready.

apparently gmod is gonna ship with css content very soon and it's already rolled out on beta branch (i believe x86-64 branch) which a lot of people are on anyways. For people playing other branches this should work without CS:S now and very soon for ppl on the default 32-bit build. I found my VMFs of the reworked version and I am seriously giving consideration to finishing it and releasing my own custom rebuilding of this map with UFOs, sky bridges, taco bell island becoming a proper rocky island with an underside, floating rocks etc.

This is more random the gm_7eleven it's just missing textures and errors for me, I don't want to get CS:S but I'm sure this map is fun.

You are welcome! Yeah, the crystals are not a part of the pack haha, but thanks! I do have prop modelling experience, so if it isn't too complicated, I can make custom models with simplish textures.

I just checked it out, honestly a really great pack. Those crystals also gave me ideas for sprucing up the island formations, regardless of whether or not they're in the pack.

I've had a revamped version sitting around that I've been working on occasionally whenever I feel a burst of energy

Has stuff like a flying UFO with a gnome on it, a spinning G-man easter egg, a long highway coming out of a portal, proper ambient sounds, the island being turned into a rocky mound with stalagmites pointing down, etc.

It's definitely in the works and I'll eventually push this map as a second option, so the original minimally altered one would exist as gm_tacobell_in_space and the new version with _redux at the end. I was considering replacing the simple brushwork the original creator used but I was unable to find suitable alternatives. I'll take a look at that and add it as a dependency if I like it. Thanks!

Hey, if you are interested @panzerwitch, I created a Fast Food Prop Pack, and I have several Taco Bell things, (like the retro booths and chairs.) so if you know how to do anything like that, you could use my stuff for an improved version?

if you look in the gma file there are textures packed in, i'm just not going to include CS:S textures for obvious reasons

they were originally in the map files but I removed it, it would overlap with CS:S textures (which would be a waste of file size and potentially broken CS:S retextures) and I don't feel like packing textures into the bsp itself especially when it can get the addon taken down for being a CSS repack

either buy CSS or use some shoddy repack yourself, i am not responsible for your broke ass not having it mounted like 99% of all gmod players
