When Terraria Origins is enabled (or maybe it was Alternatives Library?), the Link to Character button in your world select overlaps with Rename World.

Please use ILCursor.(Try)GotoNext/Prev instead of setting Index to a constant, the latter is nearly guaranteed to break if the player has any mod which IL edits the same method.

Good mod if ya got too many worlds and lazy picking a single one outta all of them.

theres a bug where the world link button is in the same spot as the rename world button

Would love if the world link also had a "multiplayer World Link" the idea is having your world be shared with your friends so they can host while you arent there or just do stuff in that world singleplayer while its updated to everyone that got the map linked

Hey, love the mod idea, it should be in the base tmodloader honestly. Though expanding on the idea, could we get a feature to link characters and worlds to modpacks too? In fact, i think a general option could be to add a note section to each character, that would allow you to "link" to multiplayer worlds, just by typing in the name of the server or something yourself. Considering how world linking rn is manual enough, that would not be a massive step back and would allow for some more features.

Also has anyone noticed the clicking during reloads?

@toxicdefender404, unfortunately, I will not be able to add this feature, because then there will be conflicts between single (file data) and multiplayer (ip address) worlds. Nevertheless, the mod was originally designed to ensure that the local player would be linked to the local world.

A message for those who have lost all links: the latest update completely changes how links are now saved in order to completely eliminate problems with the loss of character and world data.
There was no way to “translate” old saves into new ones. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I apologize for being silent. I honestly don’t know what could be the problem with losing progress or even deleting it. But I will soon be rewriting the save part of the mod to ensure that character or world progress is not affected.

The mod works fine here, with Journey Mode.

@sussy_sus123, Do you mean adding the ability to link another world to a character? If this is the case, then it contradicts the idea of the mod: one character can only have one main world

@Star Light Shadow, This is very interesting because this mod doesn't interact with world saving at all. In order to enter a world, this mod only reads the world ID. The character’s world ID is saved through ModPlayer and the tag system, that is, existing save data is not affected in any way. If other users haven't had this error, then I can assume that your error was caused by another mod

Do not use this mod with a Journey Mode Character/World. It will corrupt the character and world type permanently so that Journey Mode no longer can be used on them.

As an idea based off of @MysteriousPlanes suggestion, on the character, add a “select different world” button to select a different world without unlinking the character. This mod is so useful, I love it and keep up the good work!

The workshop is full of mods that aren't for everyone.

while this mod is nice for people that care about their character and/or world names this is completely pointless for others like me where you just name the character for the modpack ur playing lol

like im playing a one block run and its just named "one block" same with my world and modpack name xd

and the other group of people that wont need this as much is those that actually finish their run and then delete the character and world and hop to the next one

but great mod anyway i may use it at some point

Okay, I found the culprit: for some reason, DragonLens is the troublemaker and breaks the difficulty of characters when they are linked to a world.
