you might not want to fin dout how much sppace it takes
including farz and most of the map still didn't render
It's possible the map has a low render distance set, try using "r_farz" with a really high value like 100000 and see if that helps.

I don't believe so, unfortunately. The Lua API lets me access some info about the map geometry (like which brushes are considered water, and what materials they consist of) but doesn't seem to have anything for modifying it.
I don't see why not? I can't guarantee it'll work on every map (I'm aware of one case where it doesn't) but it should work on the vast majority.
