@Skana-ria Yeah, Ty's seems to be the source.
If you want the technical explanation, there's something called detouring, which is essentially making the game run my code instead of vanilla's code. However, as you can imagine, this would not work if 2 mods tried to detour the same code. Ty's has a detour for it somewhere, which in turn just completely causes this mod to not run the code that it should.

Shoot, I thought I tested well but I guess not well enough. Thanks for the response, I figured out the problem. It was another mod messing it up. I had Ty's Yoyo Redux on as well and even though I turned off the vanilla changes in the config it seems to still mess with something.
Anyway, it's good to hear that the update will be nice, though unfortunate that it may be the last.

@Skana-ria I'm currently working on the final update, which should focus on improving yoyos, including speed and range.
Feral claws, from my testing, don't seem to negatively impact the range, it just buffs it as it should.
The Extraterrestrial Command Pack, as well as some other logic, relies on some code stuff that will not work if certain other mods try to change the same thing. It's likely that you have another mod that is trying to do this, and in turn disrupting this mod's code.

Amazing mod! Almost done with a playthrough, but there were a couple things I wish were better. Saw you said you're gonna rework it soon so I'll drop my suggestions here.

First off, my main issue is yoyo length. I feel like the more powerful yoyo's aren't as long as they should be. Strings are of course made to help with this, but they don't really help that much. Also, using feral claws or its upgrades seems to override the length bonus of strings. The Extraterrestrial Command Pack, which should give infinite string length, seems to do nothing at all. I tried different combinations of having it equipped with a string and the fire gauntlet, but it just doesn't work.
Secondly, the move speed of most of the yoyo's seems a bit slow. Of course the early ones shouldn't be fast, but even late game ones are slow. The only two yoyo's I felt were somewhat decent speed are The Spectrum and The Convergance.

Can't wait to see how the mod is when it's reworked!

@Decal How many days have passed? NPCs moving in is notoriously slow, it could just be taking time. Try equipping a vanilla yoyo and see if eventually it does move in.

@ham (Ham count: 2314) Support gloves are little gloves that are basically identical to normal yoyo gloves but they give an extra yoyo when hitting an enemy. It's just a slot to put that glove instead of having it use up a regular accessory slot

also when using the dual yoyo accessory, is it supposed to make both yoyo effects occur? cause the first few times i used it, it was doing that with the true abbhor yoyo (1st slot) and valkyrie yoyo (2nd slot)

i love this mod but seriously the hell-fire needs nerfing, it does way too much DPS for where you get it

@zlaggaming68 I do, yes. There is going to be essentially a full rewrite of the mod and all of it's mechanics this summer. It will include new features, as well as fully reworked old features.

Hi, nice work with the mod, i try beat Calamity Revange only with yoyo and put you mod on, maybe for a future update consider put all book of abylitis in one book, like the rings, and create a post with some combinations os yoyo for bosses, but again NICE MOD

@kekkai_yc I'll give it a try. This has been a recurring issue due to yoyos in general not being designed with the players using many at once. I-frames have been kinda kicking my ass for a bit, in terms of what's too OP and what's not.
Currently, I'm not working on the mod, but instead doing a different project. If this gets fixed, it will be pushed in the 1.0.0 release, which I estimate will be sometime in the next 4-5 months.

The idea for the third yoyo glove is great! But for some reason, it causes a reduction in damage when equipped with gloves (one or two). It seems to be related to invincibility frames; could you check the mod settings for invincibility frames?

@Goat_YY it does have i-frames + yoyo abilities are being reworked in the full release (approx 5 months ish)

guys should modify the hellfire yo-yo due to the unbelievable damage . maybe you should add a Invincible frame for the fire burst .

you guys really need to either buff code 3 and true abbhor or nerf the hel fire yo yo because the hel-fire out classes the dps of those two yo yo's combined
