Options > recommand lenght doesn't do anything. First of all it's "recommend length", and I believe it's supposed to change the width but like I said it's non-functional for me. That said I REALLY like how slim it is now. That's the only bug I encountered. Now for some suggestions:
-Calories currently doesn't have a percentage bar, it's just the value and color. Can you make it like how minimal display bars did it?
-Would be nice if you disable useless stats by default like anger and sanity. Still keep the toggle of course.
-More width options. I would like even slimmer ones. Maybe a slim vertical as well?

Hey, is it possible for you to make an in-game settings of Status Bars' therefore we can set the Opacity, Thickness and Length of bars? Since I'm playing Project Zomboid through GeForce NOW, I have total access to mods but never any access to game or mod files, so it's literally impossible for me unfortunately. :8

I'm actually obsessive with it LOL. And since it means more and more accesibility feature and if it's a lightweight and low effort thing to add, why not? It may be not really needed but it first pulled my attention when I could see precise value of temperature on Minimal Display Bars while I couldn't with the Simple bar.. Also the simple bars felt too empty and simple for me. Orr like it would be helpful to see which direction the status was going to, because some 59,9 value will look the same for 5 seconds but in those 5 seconds it'd go like 59,95 to 59,91 and you wouldn't see etc..
Umm.. Yeah, it's simple as written in the name and that's what it was meant for..
But y'know... More features, more good? I guess..?
Jokes aside and most importantly me being an obsessive maniac aside, if it's a demanding feature you really can just unsee that suggestion of mine, just that for debugger players like me it would be a cherry on top

Hot diggity dog, this mod is magnificent! Thanks for being straightforward and sharing here. Only missing stats for my gameplay are Sanity and Sickness. Sickness is already a Vanilla built-in stat, in Maximum Display Bars mod (https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2904589807&searchtext=maximum+display+bars) you can see the "Sickness" stat. Other than that, I commented into Sanity mod and linked here to see if they were available for compatibility.
My suggestions in general:
-Sickness status, if possible of course
-Sanity status but it already depends on the mod author so you might as well not consider it as a suggestion because of that reason.
-Option to see full decimal values of stats like we can in the Minimal/Maximum Display Bars mods (f.e Health becomes 59,9192 but Simple Status shows 59,9)

the file is always up-to-date, its better to check the file

Does it works on split screen mode on steam?

I cannot make compatible with all other mods because they may not provide an api and i need to read the code and i may not able to get the stat data in the end.
But i have provide an api for them to add their stats to this mod

1. most of them were added in the mod, sickness and infection will be added next, excrementum or other stats not in vanilla game, you should ask mod author to support this mod
2. added in beta edition and will update to stable soon
3. you can adjust it in config file, will be a configuration panel in game in future updates
4. will add in next update and you can also adjust the transparency in config file

-Lines on the bars which indicate moodle stages (1, 2, 3, 4) just like in minimal display bars mod.
-Ability to thicken and thin the bars to adjust how many space it covers on the screen
