Do you need to check off EVERY box inside each of the EFFECT packs after downloading reshade? Or just the pack "title" itself? The reason I ask is because when you check the first effect box it then expands and you see all of these other effects inside the pack or not checked.

Ingame I just get "The selected preset uses unknown effects", which effect packs need to be installed?

@Sigmar Rampart I figured it out, you need to disable any IN GAME MSAA anti aliasing. If it still doesn't detect the "depth Buffer" correctly you need to go the 2nd or 3rd tab in the Home settings of Reshade while you're tuning settings, and mess with the options under depth buffer usually itll have your monitors resolutions and such displayed with frame data. Try options there until it works that's the issue is the depth buffer detection. Good luck man I got it working on many other games now too.

Anyway, I'm slowly returning to TW games, and one of the plans is to finally update this Reshade to the newest version.

It will take a bit to update the workshop page though.

May I ask how you got DoF to work? Is it Automatic or Manual? I am struggling attempting to make my own preset. Ty!

I can only recommend reinstall of Reshade, since thinness never happened to me before.

I personally never experienced any FPS impact, not in any game I’ve used Reshade for.

Also WH3 isn’t the most well optimised game lol.

Thank you for the preset! I do wonder about it's FPS impact (if any) but It was a great start for me using reshade, Hope I can learn more and eventually start using it everywhere as well.

Sorry for late reply, but that hasn’t ever happened to me. For issues like these I can only advise full deinstall and reinstall of Reshade.

Have you toggled all of the effect packs during the installation?

installed this and only curves and lumaSharpen are active. To be honest these didn't make much difference. I wonder what I am doing wrong?

The original author, Den, decided to leave modding due to personal life, and I picked up the mod and only kept it updated (well mostly).

I was thinking several times about bringing it back, but my inexperience + the amount of new content that'd have to be made for game 3 really brings the idea down.

But since I've met some amazing guys from the modding community over the years, there is a slight chance there'll be Warhammer 3 version some day.

Wait, you're the author of 'Immersive Battle Banners'? That was one of my must have mods. It would be great to have it in WH3, but I've read Randy's post that it's difficult to just port it. Nevertheless it would be awesome to have it someday.

If I install reshade the map terrain turns all black, I can only see the city names and the army flags. Anyone knows why this happens?

This just uses sweetFX right? not any of the other packages?

You mean like the one in the first picture? If that's the case, then it's indeed a Reshade effect called "ADOF" (one of the Depth of Field settings available).

Is it random photoshop that causes the area around a certain character to be expressed very low in the photo? Or is it a reshader setting?

I plan to do some updates in a near future (not changing the preset completely, but I want to include at least one more version you could all use and also better pics with explanations and stuff like that). I don't have concrete idea how to go about it yet, but I just want to tell everyone this is not the final version.

Thanks for sharing the preset. My previous was a bit long winded, where yours was less is more and better clarity of image.

Update in which I literally just updated the mod's thumbnail.

@Matthew39 exactly what I had a 5-6 line in red but the writing was so tiny but could make out that certain effects had failed. To get rid of it I uninstalled 5.8 and reinstalled fully 5.9 I didn't think your file caused the issue but just in case anyone got the unnerving red text at the top. As it happens the reinstall of 5.9 fixed my tiny text on re-shade UI anyway so double win

@DarkChocLover Weird, only thing I got with the new version is some failed to load effects, but my preset worked still. Either way, thanks for telling everyone about it, I'll try to reinstall the new version and see if problems persist.

Hello for anyone else experiencing problems like various shader files failing using the preset with the 5.9.0 reshade. Worked fine on 5.8.0 so not sure if something needs to be update within the preset.

*EDIT the only way I got this to work, is to completely remove 5.8 install against Warhammer III and fresh install 5.9 (rather than Modify/Update)

@Kikyō I use 3 DOF effects: ADOF, LightDoF_Far and FocalDOF, all of them can be found in the Reshade menu.

@nlikely I personally most often use TAA High, but any setting should work.
