Is it possible to use this to tell if you are aiming at an ally or at an enemy? Like an IFF system where you input your aiming gps coordinates and it outputs either friend or foe.

How to separate the part you want from the whole system?
You can try to import the azimuth, elevation, distance information into the part responsible for the calculation in your own way, let it keep calculating the 1~3 digital signal of the radar or something else...you need to modify those lua scripts...

the whole process is as follows:
1. Processing of radar signals. Sort and merge all signals to display on the sight for the player to select.
2. After the player selects the target, the lua script will send the signal's azimuth, elevation, and distance information to another lua script
3. Import the current pose and position of the sensor. (Heading, Pitch, Roll, Position, Altitude) Use this information to convert the radar signal to GPS.
4. Send a signal to the data link. (So ​​far, the coordinate signal required by the data link has been calculated. The calculation of the fire control is still going on, but I don't need to continue to explain it now.)
5. The purple signal to the data link contains what you want...

i have quickly looked over the creation you linked (very nice) but i cannot find the target lock function that is enabled with seat hotkey 1. i dont need aim functionality i just want to designate the target with radar and share it thru the link. i will continue to try to understand your micro controllers but help would be appreciated

Yes, it is designed for radar based target sharing. But Radar to GPS coordinate calculating need a lot of sensors and several additional lua scripts to work.
I mean, the whole system is much more complex than this data link,
this data link is like a subsystem of whole fire control system.

IFV and APC symbol is the Infantry one used in reality.

Can you makeTactical Data Link Terminal for Infantry? Like portable and symbol of infantry? I added to terminal grabs but I think you can come up with something better.

I know it is happening.
In current game version, Lua calculated ID is not synced between different game client when multiplayer game.
I'm still looking for a way to get the game internal vehicle ID, but current game version does not support it yet.
If I found better way to set ID , I will update this system.

its really good but for the id on my thing is example 98 for my friend on my thing it shows 89 but his number is correct when he puts it in another thing btw the things are the moniter with radio

This is...indescribably a work of art. Well done! Only thing I'm struggling with is that while I can see friendly units, whenever I try to mark an enemy vehicle's position on the map using either Radar or waypoint, it doesn't appear on either my terminal or another. Please help!
