Actually now that I think about it, I don't think the M1911 had the same issue,
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2886198166&searchtext=
smh, some of these people are wack
i hope youre doing well man :)
In it's current state - cartridges look like plastic at best, too bright, no reflections and untinted phong judging by the screenshots alone.
If you care about detail - yes, separate ammo from the gun for the sake of brass/lead-colored reflections.
overall, i have a lot more coming, and pistol mods believe it or not are the absolute hardest mods to make, second to hunting rifle mods. lots to explain why, but i hope regards to the issues you spot you're able to enjoy these down the line.
for the hand positioning, i'm ultimately complying to what the idle animation is from the exported files. the gun is gripped properly, but i do note the different positioning. if i were to try to make it more accurate to each other, i'd have to remake the entirety of the idle pose, and apply that pose to all of the animations in a way that won't break them. that's a lot of work, and maybe i'll get to it one day, but i have a bunch more projects i wanna make first.
greatly appreciate the feedback.
when it comes to transferring animations between the mw2019 and l4d2 rig, is that you have to properly pose and adjust the l4d2/valve rig onto the mw19 one, and you find yourself in a position to either sacrifice thumb positioning, or pinky positioning. the garry's mod mw base addons sacrifice the pinky positioning, and you can see it being hugely malformed, no fault to them. for me, i sacrificed the thumb, and i go through almost all of my mods needing to adjust the thumb positioning manually, adjusting animation layers and needing to tweak it frame by frame. the result you're seeing is me trying my hardest to make it look smooth and look good among the l4d2 rigs, and this one was a bitch when it came to getting the thumbs right. i would have to dislodge the thumb root to make it properly sit among the gun with zero clipping, which to me would stand out more than the mild clipping itself. it was a tough decision, though.
sorry i'm allergic to yellow ammo
should we expect more?
for the single pistol, the thumb rest of the pistol is way too close to the hand that it seems like its clipping into each other, and also its only a bit too much to the left angle
for the double pistol, the left hand is pointing strangely too much to the left while the left pistol is pointing forward, making (at least) me and my friend felt a bit uncomfy on that left hand. The right pistol is a bit too low, making the pistol feels like its sinking to the hand (specifically looking at the thumb rest, again)
and honestly for some reason, the anims feel a bit too stiff
hopefully u can do sth to make it better cus i til now rly enjoy ur mods, sadly not a whole lot about this one
I kinda like SA-87 in MW19, honestly very underrated.
Amazing work, love the sound
