I'm on this map for approx a year.
I can confirm what "The Huntsman" wrote. This map is a masterpiece.

If you look for a challenge on a beautiful map than this one is definitely a good choice.

This map is absolutely stacked with huge fucking mountains. I like the way it looks, I love mountain landscapes. But be aware, most of the resources on this map are on those mountains, and they elevation is something to consider. You 're not going to be able to build a big industry park on there. Your natural resources are going to have to travel quite some distance to be refined elsewhere. And you need to get your workers up there as well. It 's still managable though, and fun. There is still enough space that could be flattened to build some towns and industry parks. And you have a lot of ocean to export your goods. Honestly I think challenge is good, as long as it doesn't completely ruin your game, so I would recommend it.

I downloaded so many maps that I wanted to write a short little review of all the ones that I find suitable for playing (if time allows it) to provide myself and others a better idea what to expect... I will share my opinion of what I think is worth playing both functionally and esthetically... I know opinions are subjective so please don't burn me at the stake for my sins.

I love this map.
With a little bit planing you can establish some farming here and there.
I´m independant with food with one farm for now.

Defenetaly a challenge, but absolute fun to play.

Can absolutely be accomplished in-game by brute force landscaping, but you will rip out the landscape and make some crazy cliffs.

I do think some plateaus placed among the mountains could be nice. To give the player a foundation to make an industry, but that they still have to figure out how to move workers there effectively and move cargo efficiently.

@ZlLonaut: Thank you for your criticism. As already described above, it was not the goal to develop a map on which all industrial or agricultural branches could be used. To be successful you have to find alternatives. In the real world, you can't farm everywhere, you have to specialize in something else.

No area for farming. Next to high mountains and hills, there should be flat ground too.
Don't be obsessed with mountains that much.
This map needs more balancing.

@Mackeroni I am playing myself on realism mode. A good start works with the import of fabric and producing clothes

This is a really difficult map! Holy hell. I'm not even sure what industry to start with when playing realism mode.
