@pharaox thanks for the github download link, steam was also making me download the 1.12 version of the mod which is v7.1.2, idk why steam is doing that, but now my game shouldnt crash

@goeagles52 @Belisar I investigated this, see https://github.com/ProZeratul/CrusaderKings3UnofficialPatch/issues/318 . I wasn't able to reproduce a crash consistently, but it did crash for me once with the error log indicating an issue with epidemic events. I suspect the likelihood is higher during apocalyptic plagues. I opened a PR with an attempted fix, will be included in the next version.

@Zocker018 Boss This seems to be a general vanilla behavior, not limited to this particular tradition. I spent some time today researching it, see https://github.com/ProZeratul/CrusaderKings3UnofficialPatch/issues/317 . Although it can be fixed, I am not sure if we should do it. We'll discuss this in the above issue, you can comment there as well if you want.

@Camowz Regarding legends, yes, the mod fixes the vanilla issue that the AI never uses them. After being fixed in 1.17, it was reintroduced in 1.18 so we readded the fix. So far I am not able to reproduce the crash with just vanilla and Unop, can you?

When I run only this mod, in observer mode, doing 1178 starts, I leave it on fast and without fail every single time the mod crashes in the mid to late 1200s/early 1300s. I've tried unsubbing and resubbing, verifying file integrity, etc. Nothing. Any idea what's up?

There is a bug with the rice cultivator tradition.
Cultures that have the intensive farming tradition shouldn't see it in their list, yet they still do.

there is a bug at the decision to write a book as an adventurer for a long time now on my end, if it game issue and not mod compability on my end can you fix it. no matter how many special places i visit it only registers 1 or even 0. did world travel didnt count any, cant get the epic book

@4pinetrain7 The fairhair is actually a base game issue that should have been fixed in the latest version of the unop; I'll recheck. For the influence, it's actually one of the latest fix done, you should only gain renown if you culture have the tradition mystical ancestors

@pharaox It's a Steam Workshop issue. It happens occasionally for the Rimworld mods I'm subscribed to as well, where Steam will suddenly just revert and push a months old version no matter what.

Hey, I noticed that there is an issue in Administrative Realms (Byzantine administrative), that when they start bordering China their vassals convert to meritocratic government once "Demand Administrative Governance" character interaction takes its effect, instead of converting to the top-liege version of administrative. I've made myself a small mod to fix that so I can share it if you deem the issue worthy of fixing.

@Citoyen We think it's a Steam issue, likely nothing to do with Paradox. Steam seems to randomly "update" the mod to an old version (always the same one). It's very annoying, and we can't do anything about it.

@Sledjer A new version was released a few hours ago that also contains a fix for the issue you reported.

@vernandonic Try doing it slowly, and check that the mod is actually gone from the Steam directory after unsubscribing and before stopping. Also try verifying your game files. As a last resort, you can download the mod from GitHub (https://github.com/ProZeratul/CrusaderKings3UnofficialPatch/releases/download/9.0.4/CK3_FixPack-9.0.4.zip) and install it manually.

@Sledjer Thanks for your report, in fact this looks like a bug in Unop. The intention was to prevent a ruler that is currently fighting such a war from declaring a second one (which is a bug in vanilla). We'll take a closer look and fix it.

@Nider001 The logic for AI to pick a fascination seems to be hardcoded. The possibility to influence it via script exists, but is never used in vanilla. The issue could be fixed in Unop so I added https://github.com/ProZeratul/CrusaderKings3UnofficialPatch/issues/298 to track it, but it's a bit risky.

Is it intended that this mod unlocks unlimited kingdom-level holy wars? Seems a bit cheaty to have them without the downsides of the cultural tradition.

@pharaox Unfortunately I have neither modding nor coding experience/proficiency, I don't even know what Unop is, I figure some sort of debugging tool/app, maybe, and even if I would not know how to reproduce, ut if I see it I will send or upload a screenshot, hope that helps maybe? Anyhow, if I see more bugs I will report what I notice.

On a different note, I've also noticed something else, please forgive if this is unrelated to this mod and I might have read it elsewhere. There appears to be a bug where the piety of the realmpriest does not add to yours (at least as a Catholic ruler) resulting in negative piety/devotion for me in my last crashed playthrough. No idea what's causing this, however, it's a weird problem, I've barely ever had negative piety in 5 years of playing this game.

It appears AI rulers are now frequently fascinated with innovations from cultural eras that are not yet unlocked, resulting in cases like this one: https://ibb.co/B5QcHk9K This appears to be an oversight.

@vaatibelmont24601 and every one complaining about crashes, most likely you are hitting the known issue that Steam "updates" to a (very) old version. Please follow the description and @ADRlAN1988's advice. I am really sorry, but there is not much we can do about it.

@Toda Hiromatsu If you have the latest version, the marriage issue you are seeing is likely this one, or related to it: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/marriage-proposal-window-not-displaying-target-character-for-certain-ai-individuals.1865589/ . If you see it with vanilla + Unop but not with just vanilla, let us know how to reproduce exactly.

@ADRIAN1988 Thanks, after manually updating the mod files via the 9.0.2 Github upload and verifying game files, Steam updated to 9.0.4, which allowed to launch the game and start a new campaign that crashed after like 1 hr +, but that's likely not due to this mod and related to some script issue I've been seeing in the crash logs but can't figure out what's cuasing it (due to limited/no coding/modding experience)

Anyhow, on another note, I've also noticed the same problem others have mentioned, I'm unable to marry some courtiers or even family members via the "Find Spouse" interaction and have 0 of 0 possible matches and also sometimes very few via "arrange marriage". Not sure what's causing this.

Lastly, keep up the great work, deeply appreciate all the modders hard work to make this imperfect base game better and more enjoyable to play!

The triangle should not appear with the latest version. The mod version in the launcher must be 9.0.4. If it isn't, resubscribe to the mod. If that doesn't help, you should also verify your game data.

Same here, immediate crash when trying to load the game. Was not the case a few days ago. Also have the yellow triangle in my paradox launcher before pressing "play" and therefore tried the described workaround and it didn't function.

I am facing the same issue as vaatibelmont24601. I played it 2 days back and it worked fine. Today it started crashing without any change from my end. Disabling this mod is letting me resume my previous autosaves.

@Kazarion Was playing the byzantine empire in 867 but yup your right they appear just cant build em without the innovations, a bit odd though that they appear and watermills don't even though its the same innovation.

@Cookie I am not able to reproduce this with just Unop, I started with the same character in 867 but the gold / monthly income looks just fine. I also don't think the mod changes any of the involved files.
