@PST I forgot about that. I never use that line because it's so useless. In San Francisco the F Market and E Embarcadero streetcars use the same wires as trolleybusses.

Would it be too much to ask for a version that's tram only w/o the trolleybus? I tried subscribing and firing up the game, but it was nowhere to be found. That'd be super helpful for those who don't have the Sunset Harbor DLC or those - like me - who just haven't activated it yet.

Just to answer your question, Capitol Hill in Seattle has an area where both trolleybuses and streetcars share the road, though they do use seperate wires.

@Mike, speculation that the author of this asset trying to make you purchase is absolutely unfounded, asset owner does not profit off you purchasing one or more DLCs. And your chosen methodology of interaction shows some unchecked temerity and entitlement. I don't recommend.

@Typhoon you can paint them over with intersection marking tool, thats what I do with american still bike lanes
or u could make a local version:
- rip the texture
- change the color of the bikepath texture
- reload all meshes with the changed color, if you want to do it the right way
or halfass it an just reload the bike paths

But u would have to redo that when I update these roads.

@Mike These roads have trolley bus lanes and trolley buses are a Sunset Harbour content, so it's not useless requirement.
Also, the workshop requirements are not binding. You can try to use any asset/mod without the requirement, but it will probably not work.

Why on earth would you create a road with a useless requirement just to make people buy a DLC.

@garfield007 It´s not possible to disable functioning bike lanes in game. But One way roads and bikelaneless roads are planed.

@NET******* As far as I understand, trolley buses with small batteries can automaticlly disconect form the wires an automaticlly reconect at a stop or even mid drive. I plan on ironing out some of the problems of these roads an than releasing a wireless version without trams for battery trolley busses this month, hopefully. Maybe these would help u?

Realling good looking asset, I would really love to make it somewhere in my city. but I am those "realistic" style player (I know it is a game, play however you want to), and I want to run pantograph trains on it (like the one in your picture, not trolley tram). the issue I have is, while pantograph train can cross perpendicular with trolley bus lines, it can't branch out of it, so effectively, the trolly bus will have to run the exact route with the tram which wont' make sense.

If I make trolleybus drive into its own location, it has to separate by grade, like drive up to a bridge or have the tram go underground from the middle of the street. I will see if I can get some working with node controller.

anyway, wonder how others who also OCD about realistic-ness planned their city with the pantograph train and trolleybus.

And mark st is a 4 lane street, only the middle 2 lane trolley bus will share with the tram. And they got the switches for trolley bus to switch lanes, very cool.

San Francisco downtown market street has trolleybus and tram sharing overhead wire. In the case it is not pantograph light rail but a tram who runs on track with one trolley, trolley bus use two.

I'm having that same issue with the rails not showing, and was not having it before the most recent game update. Also encountering that issue with rev0's dynamic railways at some junctions so it's not a this asset specific issue

@D.Lagia haha, looks like you're stuff is well liked based on the recent comments D.Lagia. Have you tried talking to Clus? He likes doing roads similar to these and you two may be able to work/support each other in someway. I'll just leave the how open ended because I'm sure y'all would figure that out. Also now that P&P is out, maybe the ability to have pedestrian lanes is also welcome as well? Example, turning a 6 lane road into a two lane bus way+ pedestrian walk way + 2 lane tram way.

@meet the femsniper. crosswalks should work like every other street. I didn´t modif them.

@D.Lagia Thank you for making these, I absolutely love them! I want to highly encourage you to make some one-way versions. I was just looking for a 3L-1W Tram-Trolley (3 tram-trolley lines one direction). The bike and metro stuff you add is an additional plus to better control cims and hey, metro lines on tram and trolley (very unique :). Anyway, Love the AN features. Was able to adapt the metro lines appearance to look like concrete since it was overlapping with curb side. Fantastic feature!

@D.Lagia Thank you, they still spawn cars at the edge of the platform occasionally but that's probably just a quirk.

@Irina, I don´t know if I can fix that with a resonable amount work. The only thing I can thing of is to make the pattforms disapear on left handed traffic or make them disableable with AN. But my time right now is sparse, so it will take a while.

@gregg U have to have a crosswalk next to the stop, like on an intersection, or with node controller. Even if I haven´t added a crosswalk texture, the road still spawns functional crosswalk like every other road with sidewalks. Maybe check with TM if the crosswalks a enabled.

For the stop to function there is a invisble sidewalk on the car lanes. But its speed is much lower so the path finding AI should allways prefer the real sidewalk, if there is a crosswalk. But if there is no crosswalk the will walk on the street to get to one. Or spawn cars if the slow speed sidewalk is to slow.

That should the trick. I hope this was helpful.

@D.Lagia Thanks for the response. Pedestians have no way to get from the central platform to the sidewalk, and they just end up spawning cars and going on the road. Is this intended or do I need to use invisible paths?

The roads have catenaries for both trams and trolleybuses (electric buses that run on overhead wires), which are from sunset harbour.
They also have bike lanes, which require After Dark.

I don't understand why "Snowfall" isn't enough as an addon and why do you need the other addons when it comes to tram and bus roads?

For the first problem, I can't help u with that. It doesn't show that way for me. It's probably a incompatibility and I'm not an expert. I think the guys over at Kians's discord could help u: https://discord.gg/frFvnUfx3E

For the second one, u have to manually disallow vehicles form driving there with TM. As far as I know it's not possible to change the usage lanes automatically.

The icons for some of the roads are the default ones and they display their internal name (NET_TITLE[....])

The cars also still drive in the center lanes where my cims waiting for the bus on the platform, while realistic for an american city i'm doing a european inspired one and this doesn't fit.
