At least he has 3x more integrity. And it takes 8x more damage to stop being functional.
But I agree that the efficiency factor of the big thrusters that exists in vanilla was missing. 3.5x strength would be perfect.

this mods in really impressive, theres only one thing bodering me from using it more in my builds, its not worth it for the stats that it gives, it has exacly 3x the weight, 3x the power consumption, 2x the volume and only 2.5x the thrust power, for such a big and heavy thruster it should have 3.5 or 4x the thrust, like the vanilla thrusters, you exchange the flexibility of the small ones for the power to weight ratio of the big ones, still very impressive work, keep it up

Hello JWA, SE modding isn`t difficult, but learning can take a lot of time

Resizing of models can be simple, but installing the necessary programs, configuring them, etc. can take a lot of time. I'm not sure it's worth it. If you really want a thruster of the right size, I give links to the necessary stuff and guides:

For configuring blocks I use Notepad++
To create 3D models I use Blender and a special plugin SEUT
(Blender can be downloaded in the Steam)

How difficult is it to resize a thruster like this? I've always loved these thrusters but they are a bit big for my current fighters...What do you use to mod stuff like this?

wish it was call sage inspired Thruster instead of reworked cause they are a sage inspired thruster but it's this guys own imagining of how a reworked thruster would look like so that is why I think the name should be changed cause sage did his thrusters his way this guy did his version based off of that nothing wrong with that I am just saying

@Mrcalzon02 Sektan's a pretty chill guy, really... He gets defensive if he sees anyone use/copy mods without permission, because it's actually illegal. But, to reach out and ask if you could update one of his mods? Worst he could say is no.

@SilverStream It's an Ion thruster, it only has 30% thrust in atmosphere, but 100% in space.
@Sora_soaring You can use VSI's colorable thruster mod, it allows yout to recolor any and all thruster flames.

I'm VERY glad this was done, I was updating and refitting an old ship from years ago and didn't have good thrusters until now, well before planets were put in, I started playing because of Ectosage, it's nice to see his creation touched up while still complimenting the original shape

1. This mod should work on dedicated servers, I don't see anything that breaks.
2. The balance was completely copied from the original mod, but maybe I'll redo something in the future.

good job, I have no clue why we aren't getting more designs of thrusters.. Ions should have at least 5-8 different designs, same with atmospherics and even hydrogen..

This is amazing seeing the true OG Sage thruster in its new glory! But you should make this thing work in Atmo aswell, I feel like that would make it a bit better as something between atmo and ion.

does this thruster still crash on dedicated servers like it did on the Sage Model?

Has all the vanilla armor skins, can't wish for anything more. The dark neon skin looks absolutely wicked on this

For anyone asking, this functions exactly like the vanilla large Ion thruster, but takes 3x the materials for 3x the thrust and energy consumption. Only difference is the size and that the required steel plates are reordered to add extra durability before this thruster becomes non-functional.
