Came back to say I love the vibe so far. Makes me wanna create a modpack set in some post apocalyptic world after a K class scenaria, scp style, and play a medieval locked tribal start with the entromorphs. Maybe include a foundation style faction that is actively attacking our pawns for using the scips

Gotta say, implanting these on ghouls is amazing. I don't have to worry about reimplanting lost limb implants at all, since when they regen the mutations apply shortly after all over again.

the implants themselves make a pawn faster, stronger, smarter and in some cases increase or decrease social impact. and stuff like aiming speed, melee cooldown, sleep requirement , temperature etc. the apex ,with the most number and severity of mutations, is a beast you dont disobey. the praetorian is meant for melee and tanking, the stalker for ranged and infiltration. stalker has the least amount and severity of mutations iirc. you can experiment with mixing the different classes, if you want, but it might result in death^^ someone with a stalker morolith will probably not survive implantation of an apex styxilith, but that depends a bit on pawn immunity and meds/beds.

mechanics wise, theyre vanilla prosthetics with strong statboosts that grow on their own, so yeah. complete, working, and compatible with most things. active abilities? no. special effects? surival in space vacuum, weird dreams/hallucinations. royalty faction integration? dont think so but we load it after royalty, so not sure. we could add persona traits to the swords i guess. biotech integration? this was my plan but the new biomech xenotype and visible prosthetics are on hold. ideology? i guess we should add some soul harvesting precepts, allow your psychos to think its justified. anomaly? we should probably rename the shambler :D it would definately be cool if you could research the monsters.
will we do all of this? no idea, probably not in a while, sorry^^

im not the actual author, but i say this: the mod is feature complete, we added everything we wanted to. as of yet. i wanted to add something more, but thats on hold for now. flavour text wise, the implants/everything are chock-full with flavour text courtesy of three legged wolf. theres so much lore you could spend an evening trying to figure out what could have happened ages ago.

He's referring to how complete they are terms of mechanics and written lore for each implant for itself and the organs that it mutates.

@MOD aw, well its not exactly meant to be used on androids, but error spam isnt nice. this mod is based on bodyparts/bionics, and i think vfe androids dont inherit their bionics from humans and have their own. uhm, i guess we need to exclude them somehow..

@TheRedPriest maybe they have a different then vanilla torso or heart that doesnt inherit all surgeries/wont be replaced, i´ve read about people not beeing able to harvest the adult entromorph from some HAR races either, because they dont have a vanilla heart

@money300009 with great difficulty but iv had children survive the entire apex lineup, though that required antibotics, strong immune system, slow disease speed, hotsprings, and glitterworld medicine. if your willing to develop cancer you can use the cure to speed up recovery

Think this is the only mod that's actually made me invest in my pawns.... They're typically just meat shields but, investing that much time and resources then to play 50/50 with making sure the outcome isn't catastrophic.... Ooft.

we have nothing to do with VE or their textures xD other people made that, theire quite known by now...
but if you want the old MTA textures, theyre in a folder inside the mod called "old textures" you can just overwrite textures with the same name with them :P especially integrated so you get to choose

Monsters can be captured like creatures from Anomaly. Is it possible that in the future this mod will be an analogue of the Void from Anomaly, or will it be its complement? Will Abnormal Objects be added? I was led to this by the idea from the recordings, where a signal in the nervous system comes from nowhere.

Do the entromorphs regrow limbs if they would be replaced? Like if one of my colonist's eyes was shot out prior to implanting an entromorph, would it grow a new eye relating to the installed entromorph?

Update pushed. There's now an "optional textures" folder for people who preferred the old textures. They are allready correctly named, all it needs is to be copy pasted on top of the new textures.

@Alarick sorry, but yeah we did change those. While the old sprites had a cool style, they clashed with vanilla textures somewhat. We thought we'd refresh the mod with new sprites, sorry to hear you don't like em. I might update the mod with an "optional textures" folder containing the old textures, ready to be copy pasted over the new ones... how does that sound? Personally I prefer the new textures.

its all a combination of our twisted fantasy, and i like h.r. giger. its all from our heads-
wolf had made this mod just for himself, it was barebones but it was insane, imo.(he said he wanted some way to make use of corpses) then i got my digits on it too, and we started talking about style and cool stuff to add... here we are.
for this mod, wolf mainly said what he needed, and i got to draw it my own way.
tho i did mention any ideas i had^^

too much detail o.O cant make everybody happy. if you retexture the other stuff to look more detailed, it´ll look less out of place ;) also ofc u need to turn off texture caching for any hd textures

@KΞNTΛR I'm sorry to hear that. CJ went through alot of effort to make em. They used to clash with vanilla style, but ever since the big update it has become far more vanilla-friendly. You are ofc welcome to make your own MTA textures' mod and upload it.
