Drivers plate isn't a dashboard item.
You need something like a table with addon slots on it.

Some trucks only have this with DLC, Such as Mighty Griffin for Scania Tables

the only thing i can see on dashboard is drivers plate do i need an extra mod for more dashboard slots?

You sure you activated the mod?
It's only available for dashboard addon slots
Try another slot if you can't find it

While you can't leave the drivers seat, and "resting" just fades to black, I like to think you're doing more than just sitting staring into space while off duty, so hints of offscreen activity really freshen the experience a bit.
